It’s been high-octane action all the way over an eventful week with online mega festivals like World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) and the 2018 partypoker Powerfest dominating the online poker map. Stealing the thunder and our attention however, will be the upcoming World Poker Tour (WPT) Korea that is making its annual return to Korea on September 18 and Vietnam on September 26. While we’re expecting a massive Indian turnout in both the WPT stops, what’s worth a wait is the grand inter-country battle in the first-ever Global Teams Event at WPT Korea. India is being represented by WSOP bracelet winner Nikita Luther led team of Kunal Patni, Amit Jain and Dhaval Mudgal and the seasoned pros are all geared up to win the title! Back home it will be the Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) Xpress slated to be hosted from September 27-30 in Casino Denzong, Sikkim that will take the domestic poker circuit by storm.

Meanwhile, the second edition of the 2018 Asia Poker Tour (APT) Championships II in Philippines kicked off on September 13 at Resorts World Manila in Pasay City and will culminate on September 24.

The growth and development of the domestic poker industry has been unprecedented and can be evidenced with the numerous promotions and websites that are introduced in the market. Taking from the success of their inaugural Match Indian Poker League (MIPL), actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra and industrialist Raj Kundra announced the launch of a spanking new poker website,
