India’s biggest online poker tournament has lived up to the hype! The second edition of ‘The Game Changer 2 Crores GTD was off the starting blocks with its first starting flight – Day 1A – attracting a gigantic field of 1,143 entries (691 unique and 452 re-entries), comfortably surpassing its predecessor (Day 1A of Game Changer 1.0 had registered 1,015 entries)!

PokerBaazi has gone all out with this marquee event this time around. The Game Changer 2.0 has retained its colossal ₹2 Crores guarantee; however, the tournament’s ₹11,000 buy-in from last time has been reduced to ₹5,500 for the second edition, making the event more accessible to low-to-mid stakes players. But the reduction in buy-in means that the tournament will now need to better the record-breaking 3,777 entries from the last edition and register at least 4,000 entries to meet the guarantee.

Going by the start that Day 1A witnessed, and the fact that a fourth starting flight has been added to the schedule this time around, PokerBaazi’s The Game Changer 2.0 looks ready to set a new record by the end of the week!

After nearly five hours of intense action on the virtual felts last night, Saravana ‘rhiotaphi_new’ K emerged as the Day 1A chip leader, bagging 500,753 in chips, and will headline the 111 survivors to Day 2. Meanwhile, Prince ‘NaNki’ Singh (500,246) and Sikander ‘advanced_basic’ Rajwade (386,098) ended the first flight in the second and third chip lead respectively. Notably, Rajwade had finished runner-up to Prashanth ‘Iveyleague’ Sekar in The Game Changer 1.0, which was held in February, for a ₹39 Lakhs payday.

With Day 1B slated to kick off at 8 PM, tonight, the field is expected to reach more significant numbers as established pros and newcomers, alike, reconvene for a shot at the title in what promises to be the largest online poker tournament in the country!
