With the 50th annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) well past the mid-way mark, Team India is leaving no stone unturned in its quest for the elusive solo gold bracelet. With the largest-ever Indian contingent attending the series, it has been the best collective performance by the Indian squad at the series ever. Among the barrage of prominent Indian challengers featuring at the series, are two of our very own PokerGuru Ambassadors – Ashish Ahuja and Kartik Ved! The lawyer-turned-poker player who is on his debut trip to WSOP has already added seven cashes to his tally, totaling $103,328 (~₹71.57 Lakhs) in earnings. Ahuja’s latest score came in Event #53: $800 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack 8-Handed, where he finished 248th for $2,164 (~₹1.49 Lakhs).

PokerGuru Ambassador Kartik Ved too has secured six cashes in this year’s series, but he also branched out and picked up a 17th place finish in the $1,100 NLHE Main Event of The Wynn Summer Classic for $18,503 (~₹12.81 Lakhs).

Mirroring Ahuja and Ved’s spectacular performances at the ongoing WSOP, PokerGuru Ambassador Ashutosh ‘Msnugget’ Balodhi was among the big winners on the virtual felts last Sunday where he obliterated the 287 strong-entry field in PokerStars India’s mainstay weekly tournament, Sunday Special – Progressive KO ₹15 Lakhs GTD, pocketing a cool ₹3.63 Lakhs in the process.

The other Team Ambassadors who were in top form last Sunday included up-and-coming online pro from the PokerGuru Staking stable Rony ‘bisadip176’ Chowdhry, who topped the 150-player field in BSS Megastack ₹5 Lakhs GTD on PokerBaazi for ₹1.28 Lakhs. Apart from Chowdhry, Parikshit ‘zapdos1234’ Dhall (4th for ₹42,950) and Faiz ‘AilaGaya’ Alam (15th for ₹7,700) also posted a deep run in the event.

Another PokerGuru Ambasaador, Vivek ‘Mystic Peaks’ Singh, captured the title in PokerStars India’s The Classic ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹61,364, while Arya (7th for ₹10,912) and Steves (12th for ₹4,981), made deep runs. Two other members of the PokerGuru team, namely, Devrat ‘flopCheck’ Arya (8th for 67,000) and Parikshit ‘zapdos1234’ Dhall (13th for ₹30,000) ran deep in PokerBaazi’s BSS SuperStack ₹25 Lakhs GTD (RE).
