PokerBaazi’s most sought-after Sunday event, the Baazi Super Sunday (BSS) SuperStack ₹25 Lakhs GTD, fared better than last week with a slight increase in attendance at 567 entries (309 unique and 258 re-entries). Online phenom Abhishek ‘abhi3333’ Garg is one of the most noticeable names on the virtual felts with wins in PokerBaazi’s The Summit for ₹3.27 Lakhs in November, and back-to-back wins on 9stacks’ Wednesday Stacks and Thursday Stacks for ₹1.35 Lakhs each in December, last year. Continuing his good form, Garg added yet another title to his name in last Sunday’s BSS SuperStack for a colossal ₹5.35 Lakhs payday.

For a seventh consecutive week, PokerStars India’s biggest Sunday tournament, the Sunday Special Progressive KO ₹25 Lakhs GTD, had an overlay. Notably, last Sunday`s event at 403 entries (240 unique and 163 re-entries) was also the lowest turnout this event has ever seen since the guarantees were increased from ₹20 Lakhs to ₹25 Lakhs (March 3). Infic11 catapulted to the top of the field and captured the title for a handsome payday of ₹3.86 Lakhs following a four-way chop.

Young Gun Abhinav ‘abhi58’ Iyer has been in spectacular form since the start of 2019. Along with several deep runs in live poker tournaments such as the Asian Poker Tour (APT) – Kickoff Vietnam, Melbourne Crown Casino Recurring Tournaments, PPPoker World Championship and WPT Vietnam, Iyer has also been consistently picking up scores on the virtual felts. In fact, only last week he placed ninth in the Sunday Special. This week, he bettered his finish to a runner-up spot and pocketed ₹2.21 Lakhs in the process. ‘pal-ash7’ locked in ₹2.40 Lakhs for placing third and online regular ‘Sogani22’ finished fourth for ₹1.89 Lakhs. Team PokerGuru Ambassador, Shuchi pescatarian8 Chamaria also made it in the cashes list, finishing 32nd for ₹29,153.

The other Sunday tournaments on the PokerStars India roster were taken down by Kapil ‘racemonk’ Arora (The Classic ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹40,797), fcukstars420 (Sunday Stars ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹40,470), lalanwa (Sunday Storm ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹39,272), vishtiru (Sunday Warm Up ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹27,638) and ‘pokergod576’ (Sunday Supersonic ₹1 Lakh GTD for ₹24,269).

9stacks’ signature Sunday event, Sunday Stacks ₹15 Lakhs GTD, pulled in 191 entries. Online regular Shravan ‘Kissmyace’ Chhabria topped the filed to clinch the title and ₹3.06 Lakhs in prize money. Chhabria has been on a trailblazing run this year, and only two weeks back he had finished third in this event for ₹1.37 Lakhs.
