A tough field of 48 players that boasted of a number of notable players and two days of intense action concluded the most expensive event at the 2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS series. The €101,000 Super High Roller event was the third and last super high roller event of the series that awarded a huge €1,750,000 ($2,163,698) top prize. And the one to receive that humongous amount along with the bragging rights of taking home the title was American pro Jake Schindler (cover image).

Schindler defeated Stephen Chidwick heads-up to claim his second highest tournament score ever (after second-place finish in the 2017 Super High Roller Bowl for $3.6 Million) and with that he has stormed into the top twenty on the all-time money list, where he currently sits at 19th place. Schindler has seen a breakout year already, with three wins (including this win) and five final table finishes.

The final day saw 11 players taking their seats for a shot at that title but the first order of duty was to make it in the top six for at least a min-cash.

German high roller specialist, Dominik Nitsche was first to hit the rail in 11th place after he lost a flip with sevens against the ace-jack of team partypoker’s Jason Koon.

Shortly thereafter, the shortest stack at the start of the day, Koray Aldemir got busted setting up the unofficial nine-handed final table.

Final Table Recap

Mikita Badziakouski and Steffen Sontheimer were the first ones out at ninth and eighth place respectively to bring play down to the money bubble. The unfortunate bubble boy was Keith Tilston who lost with pocket sixes against Koon’s King-Seven that paired a seven on the turn.

With all players assured a min-cash of €240,000, short-stacked Erik Seidel was the one to claim the same as he exited in sixth place, when his ace-five failed to improve against Chidwick’s ace-ten.

Following Seidel to the rail was Bryn Kenny. Kenny had to be content with a fifth place finish after he moved all in with a straight draw against Schindler’s flopped set that improved to quads on the river.

The next two eliminations were taken care of by Chidwick as he railed both Jason Koon and Jean-Noel Thorel in fourth and third place respectively, giving way to the heads-up action.

Schindler began the heads-up with a slight chip advantage and he never let go of it once during the entire two hour long battle. A lot was at stake here with a seven figure score guaranteed and Schindler certainly took the right steps as he held a 3:2 chip advantage before the final hand.

The final hand of the tournament saw Schindler raising with and Chidwick made the call holding . The flop opened and Chidwick check-called a bet followed by check-raise on the turn . Schindler simply called to see the land on the river. Chidwick went ahead with his bluff and moved all in only to get called by Schindler, who held a straight and won the pot along with the title.
