The final table live stream has begun.
Time: 15:20
D-Day has finally arrived, and the nine-handed final table of the most popular event at the Baazi Poker Tour comeback series, the ₹50K Main Event, is about to get underway soon!
Entering the final table with the most massive stack is Bengaluru-based pro-Vinod Megalmani (2,870,000), followed by PokerBaazi’s Chirag Sodha (2,530,000) and Bharat Kumar (2,405,000).
We will update the live stream link of the final table as soon as it is available, while also providing you with periodic updates of chip counts and payouts.
We are a day away from closing out our coverage of the BPT. All the attention is presently on the ₹50K Main Event at the stop that has a life-changing ₹55 Lakhs+ up top. With defending champion Puneet Dua no longer in contention – the BPT will be crowning a new Main Event champion sometime later today if things so as per plan.
The frontrunner for that title is the young and well-accomplished tournament pro from Bengaluru, Vinod Megalmani (cover image). He is a well-known name in the domestic circuit with a plethora of scores, both live and online. He was more recently in the news for his deep run in the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Manila ₱65,000 Main Event, where he finished 100th for PHP 141,500 (₹1.91 Lakhs). Boasting of an even more illustrious track record online, Megalmani holds the distinction of taking down one of the most prestigious online poker tournaments in the country today – The Millionaire ₹1 Crore GTD on Spartan Poker in December last year for a jackpot ₹25 Lakhs. He carries forward a massive 2,870,000 stack.
The Bengaluru-based pro was at the shorter end of the field when the money bubble was looming. He was not afraid to put himself at risk and was almost always rewarded. The most significant of these trysts was the triple up that he squeezed out against Anant Purohit and Sam Anand early on in the day. He kept chipping up and eliminated the start-of-Day 2 chip leader Prabhat Mukherjea, Wilson Yomso, and Devang Yadav, en route to bagging the overnight chip lead.
Joining him at the top is none other than PokerBaazi’s very own Chirag Sodha, who had qualified for Day 2 from the final starting flight – Day 1D (Turbo) – with a stack of 56,500. He played incredibly well to spin up to a stack of 2,530,000 by the end of the night and is a serious threat to chip leader Megalmani. Being the lead co-ordinator for PokerBaazi LIVE, Sodha has been working tirelessly to make sure the event goes by smoothly. To see him final tabling the most prominent event at the series sounds like a well-deserved bonus for a job well done!
The fight for the title is not going to be easy as there is a lot of talent in the running. The most significant of this lot is the 2018 WPT Vietnam Main Event champion Dhaval Mudgal (2,165,000). Mix talent with form – and you get “Dirty” – the nickname for this musician turned poker pro. This is incredibly his third major final table appearance in the last month – he had final tabled the two most prominent events at the record-shattering IPC series last month, the ₹25K Main Event (3rd for ₹22.27 Lakhs) and ₹100K High Roller (5th for ₹9.81 Lakhs). He would have been one of the top stacks entering the final table had it not been for bad luck that saw him lose a crucial pot with pocket kings that eventually resulted in Ankit Jajodia’s elimination. Even now, Mudgal is among the top contenders for the title.
Other notable names who have made it to the final table include Neel Joshi (1,985,000), India’s first solo bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer (1,435,000), and former PokerBaazi Team Pro Maria Kirloskar (730,000) who parted ways with the brand back in June.
The players will return for the final table at 3 PM later today, where a new BPT Main Event champion will be crowned!
The entire final table action will be live-streamed (with 15 min delay), and we will update the video link here once it’s up and will be putting up periodic updates on the payouts and chip counts all through the day tomorrow – so do check back in!

Time: 16:57, Level 16 (Blinds 5,000/10,000, Ante 10,000)
The money bubble has burst in the most undramatic way. There was drama at one of the outer tables where Akshay Nasa found himself at risk with pocket queens against the flight Day 1D chip leader Gangadhar Raaj. The queen-high flop, however, dampened the mood for everyone eyeing an elimination. Just as Nasa doubled up, the tournament director announced that one of the short stacks at another table, who had not yet turned up, was blinded out.
We are down to 63 players in the BPT Main Event – all in the money!
Time: 16:50, Level 16 (Blinds 5,000/10,000, Ante 10,000)
The action is getting intense on the money bubble but every all-in it’s the short stack that is getting the double up. The biggest hand in the last round saw three players all-in.
Vinod Megalmani
Anant Purohit
Sam Anand
The board ran and Megalmani tripled up. Anand collected the side pot!
Time: 16:38, Level 16 (Blinds 5,000/10,000, Ante 10,000)
The last hand saw Kanav Parwal the player at risk with pocket kings against Kanishk “Gooner” Upreti`s pocket sixes. The board bricked getting Parwal the double up.
The hand-for-hand saga continues.
Time: 16:28, Level 16 (Blinds 5,000/10,000, Ante 10,000)
Tournament Director Bryan Lo and his team have been made to work hard given the all-in situations each hand. The dealers have been instructed not to reveal the cards in case of an all-in situation.
The last all-in saw Soham Pal doubling up through Prabhat Mukherjea.
Time: 16:19, Level 16 (Blinds 5,000/10,000, Ante 10,000)
The last two hands were uneventful but there are many short stacks currently in dangerous territory. This could take some time given the big ₹1 Lakh+ min-cash incentive.
Time: 16:11, Level 16 (Blinds 5,000/10,000, Ante 10,000)

Time: 16:04, Level 16 (Blinds 5,000/10,000, Ante 10,000)
Gautam Kaul is the last player to fall out in 66th place – 3 away from the money. He lost a flip with ace-nine to pocket sixes.
Time: 15:53, Level 16 (Blinds 5,000/10,000, Ante 10,000)
The Main Event is down to the last 66 players and it looks like Armaan Kochhar is the 67th place finisher. On his elimination hand, he opened 21K from the cutoff with jack-ten and Neel Joshi defended with to see the flop open . A couple of raises re-raises later, all the money went in with Kochhar holding a gutshot straight draw and Joshi a flush draw. The on the turn got Joshi the flush and it was all over for Kochhar on the river .
Time: 15:47, Level 16 (Blinds 5,000/10,000, Ante 10,000)
In a battle of the blinds, an unknown player in the small blind was all-in for 140K holding and Prabhat Mukherjea was holding . The player in small blind flopped a flush and doubled up.
Time: 15:40, Level 16 (Blinds 5,000/10,000, Ante 10,000)
There are 70 runners in the field at the moment and with 63 paid, the Main Event is seven eliminations away from the money. A few short stacks have doubled up recently while Abhinav Iyer just took down a decent sized pot off Dhaval Mudgal with flopped two-pair holding .

Time: 15:29, Level 15 (Blinds 4,000/8,000, Ante 8,000)
This might not be a very long day after all given the recent pace of eliminations. Among those falling short of the money was Vikram Kumar, Ayush Garg, Ragesh Mishra, & Raghav Bansal.
Time: 15:26, Level 15 (Blinds 4,000/8,000, Ante 8,000)
The last 25 mins or so have been crazy on the tournament floor. Most of the field is in their seats though the odd sort stack has not showed up yet.
Among the early eliminations was Naresh Veeravalli, who in fact, was eliminated on the very first hand of the day – Nitin Arora is the other player who has hit the rails already,
