The series will again be held at the Turn n’ Riva poker room and hosted as part of the ongoing cash game festival “Kings Knight Festival”.

This time the tournament will be a three-day affair, featuring the ₹40K buy-in event (1 re-entry allowed) on April 1. There will two starting flights and players will be able to make 1 re-entry on each day till Level 8. Players who get eliminated on Day 1A may choose to re-enter on Day 1B. Surviving players from both flights will return on April 3 for the final day.

At its debut in March 2016, local player Shashwat Agarwal had emerged as the KPC champion taking down the Main Event after defeating Jasven Saigal in a thrilling heads-up match.

Co-founders of KPC Mayank Agarwal and Diddy Thacker gave PokerGuru a joint statement, “After the successful two editions of Kolkata Poker Championship, it brings us immense pleasure to announce the third edition of the same featured in the Famous Kings Knight Poker FESTIVAL in the city of joy, Kolkata from March 30 to April 3. The tournament will be an INR 40k buy in event with one re-entry allowed on each day 1A and day 1B and is going to be held at the weekend from April 1-3.

Along with a massive pool of players showing interest in the series, it’s a great feeling to see some players from outside Kolkata also extending their support and participation to make it one of the biggest events in the city. Special thanks from the entire KPC team to all the participants. It’s a big thing for us and it gives all the players who for some reason or the other are not able to travel and play to compete at home with some of the best poker minds of the country. It doesn’t only give them exposure but also helps them to understand the different dynamics of the game to be able to improve on their skills and learn from some of the best in business to be able to later go and compete in so many big tournaments taking place around the clock in the country like Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT), Baazi Poker Tournament, India Poker Championship and even online for that matter.

A warm welcome to all and a big-big thank you to each and everyone who have taken out their valuable time to be able to make it for the tournament in Kolkata.”

PokerGuru will be covering the entire event from ground zero, so do stay logged on for all the details.
