The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) Game 7 season finale came to a close Sunday night at Harrah’s North Kansas City. Jacob Seale (cover image) came out on top of the 482-entry field (113 Day 1A, 164 Day 1B, and 205 Day 1C) to win the $575 Main Event title and the Signature Championship ring, pocketing $40,963 after a three-way deal.

The series had five featured events, with the $100K GTD Main Event and $20K GTD Deep Stack being the two most prominent events at the stop.

The Main Event surpassed its $100K GTD by an additional $140K, courtesy the 482 entries that charged in through the three starting flights to garner a prize pool of $241,003. Seale took the top spot while Ray Rife (runner-up for $37,923) and Shawn Privat (3rd for $28,369) rounded out the podium finishers courtesy a three-way deal.

This was Seale’s career-best tournament score to-date and one that boosted his lifetime live tournament earnings to over $ 350,000. His other notable scores include his runner-up finish in RGPS Harrah’s North Kansas City in April for $37,428, and a 12th place in the WSOP Event #84: $1,500 The Closer earlier this summer for $37,215.

Day 2 saw 103 players returning for a shot at the final ring of the season, and only the top 54 places were assured to take home a min-cash of $925. The big pot of gold up top was worth $51,815.

The money bubble burst on Jon McAndrew, who, as it turns out, was eliminated by the eventual champion in 55th place.

Others who crossed the money line were Joshua Turner (4th for $17,350), Jesse Jones (13th for $3,172), Frank Patti (16th for $2,627), Justin Gardenhire (28th for $1,410), Kris Burchfield (32nd for $1,246), Jon Stanfield (35th for $1,116), Derrick Contreras (37th for $1,010), Jeff Bryan (47th for $925), and Michael Fong (52nd for $925).

By the time the play wound down to the final table, Joshua Turner was sitting in the chip lead with a stack of 3,500,000 with Andy Ernstein (2,280,000) and Chuck Marty (680,000) holding the next top stacks. Seale (655,000) came in with the fourth-largest stack.

Final Table Recap

The action began with two quick eliminations, both made by Andy Ernstein. The early departees were Peter Gardner, and Zachary Carroll, who went out in places tenth and ninth, respectively.

The next one to go was Jacob Lewis, who lost a crucial flip with against Joshua Turner’s to be eliminated in eighth place.

Despite making two eliminations early on, Andy Ernstein was the next player to hit the rail. He lost four big pots –three of them to Jacob Seale – that resulted in his fall.

The next elimination took some time coming, and it was Grant Hart who surrendered his six-big blinds to Joshua Turner before making a sixth-place finish.

Chuck Marty was the next to hit the rail. Marty was hoping for a chopped pot holding against Ray Rife’s . The poker gods, however, had other plans as the runout gave Rife a rivered ace-high flush, eliminating Marty in fifth place.

Taking home the fourth-place payout was Joshua Turner, who lost two hands in quick succession, one each to Ray Rife and Shawn Privat, before giving away the rest of his chips to Jacob Seale. The remaining three quickly shook hands on a deal to bring an end to the proceedings.
