The PokerBaazi Premier League (PPL) fever is on, and Monday saw another set of high-value events crowning champions. The day’s showstopper was The Bout 8-Max ₹25 Lakhs GTD that brought in an impressive field of 549 entries (295 unique and 254 re-entries), easily shattering the advertised guarantee with a collection of ₹27.45 Lakhs. Taking up the podium after nearly eight hours of action was Deep ‘ChristopherCoke’ Patel. Patel has been playing poker for almost nine years now and has spent a reasonable amount of time playing live tournaments in the U.K. Recently back to India and now based out of Bengaluru where he works as an Advanced Tax Analyst, Patel still manages to put in a few hours of online play when he can, and he primarily plays on PokerBaazi. Earlier this month, we saw Patel collect a seventh-place cheque of ₹70,560 in The Summit ₹15 Lakhs GTD. He also finished 11th in the PPL #4 BPT PKG Tourney and has won a ₹95,000 package to Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) Main Event Day 1B. By winning The Bout last night, Patel added a hefty ₹5.33 Lakhs to his bankroll.

The other big winners on PokerBaazi yesterday were ‘Olandir’ who won the PPL#20 8-Max ₹15 Lakhs GTD for ₹3.45 Lakhs and Debashish ‘Alln’ Bal who trounced a 157-strong entry field in the PPL#17 7-Max ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.28 Lakhs.

After hosting another edition of its Spartan Super Series (SSS), Spartan Poker has reverted back to its routine schedule and headlining its Monday run of events was the ReCharge ₹12 Lakhs GTD that attracted 591 entries. In the end, it was ‘blindgame’ who championed the event after agreeing to a heads-up chop with eventual runner-up Jayjit ‘David Blaine’ Ray. While the winner took home ₹1.91 Lakhs up top, Ray locked in ₹1.89 Lakhs for his second-place finish.

Anger regarding Adda52’s delay in upgrading its TDS policy has resurfaced bringing back overlays in the site’s flagship events. Last night’s Goa Fest ₹8 Lakhs GTD managed to pull in 193 entries (116 unique and 77 re-entries), resulting in an overlay of over ₹1 Lakh. ‘Ajaybs08’ made the most of the value on offer and claimed the title along with ₹2.24 Lakhs in prize money.

PokerStars India’s Monday mega tournament – Monday Hustle ₹6 Lakhs GTD – saw the site yet again surpass its offered guarantee and post a prize pool worth ₹6.21 Lakhs via 207 entries (114 unique and 93 re-entries). ‘Zilean99’ took down the event, following a three-way deal with ‘addurrB’ (runner-up for ₹77,173) and ‘bellarybabu’ (3rd for ₹94,093). Meanwhile, the Zoom 3-Max Progressive KO ₹2 Lakhs GTD was taken down by ‘MojoJojo2193’ who defeated Anuj ‘brockLesnar95’ Yadav (runner-up for ₹22,481) heads-up to pocket a winner’s payday of ₹52,254.

Moving over to 9stacks, Samir ‘samir108’ Hossen was the big winner of the day – he bested 146 entries (115 unique, 30 re-entries and 31 rebuys) in the StackUp@ 8 PM ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD to win ₹65,000.

On Poker Dangal, Somenn ‘Prokiller’ Singh took down the day’s featured event – ₹1 Lakh GTD Monday Texas for ₹24,000.
