It was an action-packed Tuesday on the virtual felts with the PokerBaazi Premier League (PPL) now nearing the home stretch. Slated to culminate on March 8, the PPL February edition hosted a myriad of big-ticket events last night. The showstopper tourney was the PPL#28 The Endeavour ₹50 Lakhs GTD which accumulated 1,004 entries (Day 1A – 266 unique and 193 re-entries; Day 1B – 347 unique and 198 re-entries) across two starting flights, generating a prize pool of ₹50.02 Lakhs with 96 runners making it to Day 2. The multi-flight event crowned a champion in Vaibhav ‘WakhraSwagNi’ Sharma, who banked a colossal ₹8.76 Lakhs, along with the title!

Sharma is one of the more consistent winners on the domestic circuit today with over ₹1.67 Crore in recorded online earnings, which includes 54 titles! In fact, Sharma also finished runner-up in PokerStars India’s Sixth Sense ₹6 Lakhs GTD last night for ₹85,456 playing under the moniker ‘GTO_LIFE_GG,’ which was ultimately won by ‘the_owl32’ for ₹1.18 Lakhs.

Joining Sharma on the podium was Sumit ‘boronyx’ Sapra. He trounced a field of 473 entries (243 unique and 230 re-entries) in the PPL#29 Mini High Roller ₹30 Lakhs GTD. The event posted a prize pool worth ₹35.47 Lakhs, and Sapra bagged the largest share of the prize pool kitty worth ₹7.13 Lakhs. Veteran pro Dhaval ‘Rehab77’ Mudgal finished runner-up for ₹4.99 Lakhs.

The PPL#27 6-Max DST ₹20 Lakhs GTD gathered a player pool of 479 hopefuls (231 unique and 248 re-entries) and suffered an overlay of ₹2.03 Lakhs. Making use of the value on offer, PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Nygma’ Raj championed the event, after besting Rohan ‘AnshAA’ Soman (runner-up for ₹2.81 Lakhs) heads-up and banked a winner’s payday of ₹4.02 Lakhs.

Our latest Young Gun Gaurav ‘gaug17’ Sood has been doing phenomenally well on the online felts and adding yet another title to his name, Sood shipped the PPL#25 SuperStack 8-Max ₹5 Lakhs GTD yesterday for ₹1.10 Lakhs. Sood also final tabled the PPL #30 6-Max ₹2 Lakhs GTD on Tuesday, finishing eighth for ₹9,145.

Headlining the Tuesday schedule on Spartan Poker was the Mega Stack ₹20 Lakhs GTD. Attracting 694 entries (320 unique, 145 re-entries, and 229 re-buys), the event collected a prize pool of ₹20.82 Lakhs. Anonymous user ‘Tokio999’ came out on top after agreeing to a heads-up deal with PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘Shippament’ Wadhawan. The champion locked in ₹3.64 Lakhs in prize money, while Wadhwan collected ₹2.92 Lakhs for his second-place finish.

Continuing with the ‘Triple Features’ brigade, The Race ₹7.5 Lakhs GTD gathered a 633-strong entry field (278 unique, 108 re-entries, and 247 re-buys), creating a ₹9.49 Lakhs prize pool. PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer Singh ‘bazzingaa’ Chadha, who had won the PPL#22 The Bout 8-Max ₹25 Lakhs GTD on Monday for ₹5 Lakhs on Monday, was back to his winning ways yet again as he emerged victorious in The Race for ₹1.84 Lakhs, following a heads-up chop with ‘HighHopes’ (runner-up for ₹1.16 Lakhs).

The Dominator ₹6 Lakhs GTD pulled in 297 entries (158 unique, 21 re-entries, 118 re-buys), and had a marginal shortfall of ₹6,000. Sanchit ‘TheMadKing’ Pande topped the field and walked away with ₹1.39 Lakhs in the top prize.

Over at Adda52, Anuj ‘anuj25395’ Yadav ran past a field of 283 entries in the Hitman ₹7.50 Lakhs GTD and banked the ₹2.31 Lakhs up top from a prize pool of ₹9.05 Lakhs.
