With just the final two days of the ongoing India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) left to play out on Spartan Poker, the action is gradually reaching its peak! The fifth starting flight of the IOPC #83 The Millionaire Main Event ₹3 Crores GTD – Day 1E – drew in a strong field of 380 entries (203 unique, 75 re-entries and 102 re-buys), taking the overall count to 2,049 entries! With three more flights scheduled to play out, The Millionaire Main Event is well on its way to reaching the 3,000-entry mark.

PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer ‘bazzingaa’ Singh Chadha claimed the pole position on Day 1E by bagging the biggest stack of 179,230 among 53 survivors. A proficient MTT player, Chadha has over ₹3.25 Crores in recorded online winnings. Some of his recent victories include winning the Adda52 Millions AF on February 2 and PokerBaazi’s Monster 6-Max ₹5 Lakhs GTD on December 15. He was also among the top five finalists in The Millionaire X5 Edition on November 24, where he collected ₹11.05 Lakhs for his win.

Trailing Chadha on Day 1E was Manoj ‘MRBLUE’ Pentakota, who acquired the second-biggest stack of 174,243. Notably, Pentakota had bagged the second-biggest stack of 242,64 at the end of Day 1D as well. Joining Chadha on top of the end of day chip counts was another Team Ambassador Rony ‘ChipTricks’ Chowdhury, who rounded out the top three stacks with 159,098 under his belt.

Besides The Millionaire Main Event, the other big-ticket event on Spartan Poker was the IOPC #85 The Elite ₹30 Lakhs GTD. Featuring a player pool of 410 entries (189 unique, 105 re-entries, and 116 re-buys), the event smashed its advertised guarantee to collect ₹41 Lakhs in the prize pool. A player who has been consistently winning on Spartan Poker, ‘Yennefer’ yet again emerged victorious as he took down the tourney, after besting Pradeep ‘lionroar29’ Sharma (runner-up for ₹5.46 Lakhs) heads-up, and pocketed a humongous ₹8.22 Lakhs in prize money. The anonymous player, who had chopped the IOPC #79 Super HighRoller ₹1 Crore GTD for ₹23.66 Lakhs on Thursday and shipped the Ultron ₹20 Lakhs GTD on January 23 for ₹4.60 Lakhs, is on a ₹30 Lakhs upswing this week.

Meanwhile, Pranav ‘I’mThePlayboi’ Bang topped the 133-strong entry field (82 unique, 30 re-entries and 21 re-buys) in the IOPC #84 TGIF ₹12 Lakhs GTD and took home a top prize of ₹2.34 Lakhs, after striking a heads-up deal with ‘TimeTraveler’ who received ₹2.30 Lakhs for their runner-up finish.

Even though the IOPC is nearing its end, the action won’t slow down as we have the PokerBaazi Monthly Value Series (PMVS) to keep the players engaged. There is also the Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) that kicked off yesterday that will keep the action moving!

Among the marquee events on PokerBaazi on Friday were the PMVS #11 – 8 Max ₹6 Lakhs GTD and PMVS #11 – 8 Max ₹6 Lakhs GTD. Siddharth ‘Siddonuts’ Pandey won the Friyay event after defeating Sumit ‘boronyx’ Sapra (runner-up for ₹1.05 Lakhs) heads-up for ₹1.50 Lakhs. Mrinal ‘booyah’ Manna ran past a field of 331 entries (193 unique and 138 re-entries) and clinched the top honors, including a winner’s payday of ₹1.46 Lakhs in the 8 Max ₹6 Lakhs GTD.

The AOPS that is slated to run till February 16 boasts of ₹5.2 Crores in prize pool guarantees! Starting off the series in style was the AOPS Whale ₹20 Lakhs GTD. The event pulled in 402 entries, resulting in a massive prize pool collection of ₹27.53 Lakhs. Pranav’s brother, Srihari ‘zombieballs’ Bang showed all why he was one of the biggest online scorers of 2019, by coming out on top to win a colossal ₹5.25 Lakhs. Chirag ‘cs56’ Sodha came in second for ₹4.51 Lakhs.
