The first two days of the working week generally witness a drop in online action. However, with Spartan Poker’s India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) on the business end of its successful run, even the Tuesday tourneys saw a spike in attendance.

The IOPC #67 The Millionaire Main Event ₹3 Crores GTD has been the talk of the poker town since it kicked off on Monday. Day 1B played out yesterday and amassed 344 entries (192 unique, 58 re-entries, and 94 re-buys). Though it is a considerable drop from Day 1A’s 606 entries (368 unique, 117 re-entries, and 121 re-buys), nevertheless, the event seems well poised to hit the 3,000-entry mark to meet its advertised guarantee of a whopping ₹3 Crores! After about five hours of grueling play, anonymous user ‘McFly’ bagged the biggest stack of 285,688 among 51 survivors.

Taking advantage of The Millionaire Main Event’s format that allows players to qualify from multiple flights, PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Donkey 07’ Munot once again secured an impressive stack of 200,734 on Day 1B, after he had already accrued 284,485 in chips on Day 1A. Sanat ‘mehro2511’ Mehrotra booked the third spot on the Day 1B leaderboard with 194,156 in chips.

Besides The Millionaire Main Event, the other marquee event on the Spartan Poker schedule was the IOPC #68 Mega Stack ₹25 Lakhs GTD. With 988 entries (442 unique, 233 re-entries, and 313 re-buys), the event posted a prize pool of ₹29.64 Lakhs. Online regular ‘masterbluff’ pocketed the most significant portion of the prize pool kitty worth ₹5.65 Lakhs, after outlasting Abhishek ‘PirateMihawk’ Jain (runner-up for ₹3.49 Lakhs) in the heads-up confrontation.

Another PokerGuru Ambassador who was in top form last night was Ashutosh ‘stupefy’ Balodhi. He ran past a field of 655 participants (274 unique, 123 re-entries, and 258 re-buys) in the IOPC #69 Daily Hi-Fi ₹15 Lakhs GTD and walked away with a winner’s payday of ₹2.74 Lakhs.

Adding to the blistering online performances was Young Gun Siddharth ‘schemer’ Karia. PokerBaazi’s The Endeavour ₹15 Lakhs GTD gathered 469 entrants (246 unique and 223 re-entries), leading to a prize pool of ₹16.41 Lakhs. Karia triumphed over the field, claiming the top prize of ₹3.29 Lakhs in the process. Not only did Karia ship The Endeavour, but he posted three more scores, including a final table finish in Adda52’s Hitman ₹8 Lakhs GTD (8th for ₹27,929), Spartan Poker’s IOPC #68 Mega Stack ₹25 Lakhs GTD (16th for ₹25,460) and IOPC #69 Daily Hi-Fi ₹15 Lakhs GTD (49th for ₹7,368). In fact, he also bagged the sixth biggest stack of 155,196 on Day 1B of The Millionaire Main Event.

Adda52’s Tuesday signature event, Hitman ₹8 Lakhs GTD, also had an eventful run as it accumulated a prize pool ₹8.38 Lakhs through 262 entries (149 unique and 113 re-entries). Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymer’ Grover added another ₹2.17 Lakhs to his bankroll by taking down the title.

The Sixth Sense ₹10 Lakhs GTD on PokerStars India crowned a winner in Bharat ‘hzgod’ Kumar, after he bested Monday’s Hexagram ₹3 Lakhs GTD champion on Adda52, Sandeep Varma ‘effuno007’ RS (runner-up for ₹1.39 Lakhs) heads-up to take home a top prize of ₹1.88 Lakhs.
