It will be fair to call Wednesdays as D-day to win travel packages. For the uninitiated, Wednesdays have the two industry leaders putting up steps to win travel packages. On Spartan Poker, it’s the Destiny that has players vying to win packages to Las Vegas while PokerBaazi hosts the G.O.A that, as the name suggests, provides an all-expenses-paid trip to Goa.

Spartan Poker’s Destiny 12.0 ₹25 Lakhs GTD was the headline event on Wednesday. Like its predecessors, Destiny 12.0 will have 10 weekly runs across as many weeks. In the end, all the 10 winners will get to play the Destiny SnG Finale that is slated for January 12, 2020, and the top three finishers will each win a Las Vegas package. After Chirag ‘chilling’ Sodha (November 6) and Shaan ‘shaankalwani’ Kalwani (November 13), the latest Destiny 12.0 winner emerged in Pranav ‘mithrandir16’ Anand who pierced his way through a field of 590 entries (249 unique, 123 re-entries and 218 rebuys) to book his berth in the Destiny Finale SNG, and collected ₹7.32 Lakhs in prize money. The event turned out to be a smashing success, registering an impressive ₹29.50 Lakhs prize pool.

The other prominent winner on Wednesday was PokerGuru Ambassador Jayjit ‘David Blaine Ray who came whiskers close to the title at the Destiny, finishing third to earn a ₹2.72 Lakhs payday. Incidentally, Ray also finished third at the PokerBaazi G.O.A. ₹20 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.80 Lakhs. Despite the big scores, Ray managed to fall short of making it to the Destiny 12.0 SnG Finale as well as the G.O.A. ₹4 Lakhs GTD SnG Finale.

Over at other Spartan Poker events, Aashvin ‘Hell’sAngel’ Mohindroo (SVS #5 Hi-Fi ₹6 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.29 Lakhs) and ‘pokerfish87’ (Ultimate PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹55,953) won titles.

Delivering another standout performance last night was Shravan ‘FishStars’ Chhabria. A well-respected pro with a long litany of online and live scores, he displayed top form yesterday and emerged triumphant over a field of 364 entries (175 unique and 189 re-entries) to win PokerBaazi’s G.O.A ₹20 Lakhs GTD for ₹3.70 Lakhs. He, along with second-place finisher ‘Benny_gur,’ won an all-expenses-paid trip to Goa and will be seen competing in the G.O.A. ₹4 Lakhs GTD SnG on December 7.

At the site’s Wednesday SuperStack, ‘Fukrey12’ walked away with the title and top prize of ₹86,050, denying another online reg Rubin ‘kornkid’ Labroo the glory. Labroo had a profitable Wednesday grind as along with the ₹60,308 he won in the SuperStack, he also placed fifth in G.O.A. for ₹1.16 Lakhs – netting a total of ₹1.76 Lakhs from these two scores.

Headlining the action on Adda52 was the Maverick ₹10 Lakhs GTD that brought in 423 entries (239 unique and 184 re-entries), resulting in a small ₹37,675 overlay. MTT-regular Wilson ‘Kaling’ Yomso championed the field to stake claim over the winner’s cheque worth ₹2.48 Lakhs.

Over at the Hexagram ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD, ‘xoredvoid’ proved the last player standing and pocketed ₹71,250 for the win. Both events fell short of meeting their advertised guarantees.

The Wednesday mainstay at PokerStars India, the Night on Stars ₹5 Lakhs GTD found a winner in ‘The AnnihiIator’ who topped the 257-entry field (140 unique, 117 re-entries) to win ₹98,262. ‘gamblerunderdog’ took down the Progressive KO 4 Max ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹46,428.

The 9stacks’ StackUp @8 PM ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD made its run with 146 entries (115 unique, 31 rebuys) last. The event fell ₹31,000 short of meeting its guarantee, and ‘p@ker_king’ took home the title and ₹67,500 in prize money.

Poker Dangal saw its Wednesday tourney, Wow Wednesday ₹75K GTD play out with a 170-strong field (82 unique, 46 rebuys and 42 add-ons). In the end, it was ‘riskypro’ who walked away with the title and ₹18,375 in prize money.
