A busy Sunday was followed by a relatively slow Monday on the virtual felts. The ongoing IOPC series at Spartan Poker has already wrapped up nearly two dozen events of its 99-event lineup, and headlining the Monday schedule was the IOPC #24 Recharge ₹14 Lakhs GTD. The event logged in 1,010 runners, 447 of whom were unique players, 185 re-entries, and 378 rebuys, to generate a guarantee-smashing ₹20.20 Lakhs in prize money. The latest IPC Main Event champion Rubin ‘kornkid’ Labroo was among the top contenders for the title and had victory almost in his grasp. Labroo, however, ultimately lost out to Parminder ‘Bounceez’ Randhava heads-up, as the latter came out on top to win ₹3.86 Lakhs. Randhava is a site regular and had in August 2018 won the SSS Event #5 ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.59 Lakhs. While Randhava added another title score to his online resume, Labroo started his week with a very profitable ₹2.40 Lakhs for the runner-up finish.

The other big winner on the site was Anmol ‘Anzzzzz’ Mehta, who trounced a 715-player field (286 unique, 115 re-entries and 314 rebuys) to win the IOPC #25 Daily Hi-Fi ₹10 Lakhs GTD for ₹2.64 Lakhs. Mehta, who has been running very well on the online and live felts, defeated ‘Gal Gadot’ heads-up. The latter had to make do with a runner-up finish worth ₹1.90 Lakhs.

January has been a big month for another industry leader, PokerBaazi that hosted the Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) Online as part of the BPT schedule. With the month closing out soon, the site was back to its usual humdrum of tournaments. The Monday marquee The Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD ran amid 301 hopefuls (148 unique and 153 re-entries) yesterday. While the tournament accrued ₹12.04 Lakhs in prize money, taking up the podium was none other than PokerGuru Ambassador Rony ‘bisadip176’ Chowdhury. Chowdhury has continuously been growing his repertoire of online scores. He was seen in Goa playing both the BPT and IPC series and came back with a 10th place finish (₹2.80 Lakhs) at the BPT ₹35K Main Event to show for his efforts. Yesterday Chowdhury beat ‘ninjakar’ heads-up to claim the winner’s cheque worth ₹2.65 Lakhs. As for the latter, the runner-up finish fetched him ₹1.86 Lakhs.

With the Winter Series now in the rear-view mirror, PokerStars India has reverted to its usual lineup of daily specials. Monday was action-packed on the site with several events of sizeable value making their run. The most prominent of them all, the Monday Hustle ₹5 Lakhs GTD attracted 181 entries (110 unique and 81 re-entries), making for a profitable prize pool of ₹5.43 Lakhs. Neel ‘Worm236’ Joshi came on the top of the field and clinched the title for ₹1.07 Lakhs.

The online tourneys on Adda52 continue to gather more significant numbers, and Monday’s run was headlined by the Inception ₹10 Lakhs GTD. The ₹3,500 buy-in tournament attracted 366 runners (187 unique and 179 re-entries) that helped collect a ₹11.71 Lakhs prize pool. Harshit ‘hashstack’ Chopra seized the title after defeating his heads-up opponent ‘rajatsahni’ to pocket the top prize worth ₹2.56 Lakhs. The latter banked ₹2.13 Lakhs for placing second.

The day’s schedule at 9stacks was dominated by Hercules @8PM ₹2 Lakhs GTD, where 116 entries (89 unique and 27 rebuys) meant that a guarantee crushing ₹2.32 Lakhs was collected in prize money. ‘Luxcozii’ outran Sandeep Varma ‘effuno’ RS to win the title and the top payday of ₹65,656. Varma added ₹45,240 for finishing in second place.

Over at Poker Dangal, ‘Jyotigupta’ bested a field of 285 entries (126 unique, 88 re-entries and 71 add-ons) to win the Monday Texas ₹1 Lakh GTD for ₹22,000. The event registered an overlay of ₹14,500.
