After a ten-day sabbatical, we are back on the virtual rail bringing you all the headlines of what went down at the biggest online tournaments yesterday. October has seen an adrenaline rush of live tournaments in Goa, but the floating casinos have improved their internet connectivity, resultantly the online traffic hasn`t suffered too much.

Ruling the online roster last night was the Destiny 11.0 ₹20 Lakhs GTD on Spartan Poker. The event once again belted out a smashing turnout with 491 entries (216 unique, 106 re-entries and 169 rebuys) helping generate a more than wholesome ₹24.55 Lakhs prize pool. Coming out on top of this event that promises the top three Destiny SnG finale winners, a Las Vegas package was ‘space ace’ who ran past Harshad ‘omglukbox’ Barve heads-up to take home ₹6.50 Lakhs in prize money. Barve collected a handsome ₹4.05 Lakhs for finishing runner-up while third-place finisher ‘Kingofking’ pocketed ₹2.45 Lakhs.

The other prominent event on Spartan Poker last night, the Ultimate PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD, drew 108 entries (56 unique, 15 re-entries and 37 rebuys). ‘abhidread’ was the eventual winner and took home ₹56,982 in prize money.

PokerBaazi has been the talk of the poker town this last week. The well-respected poker startup played gracious hosts to the poker community at the Baazi Poker Tour comeback series, and the players reciprocated by coming out in huge numbers. With the BPT now in the rear-view mirror, the focus once again shifts to the bread-and-butter online action. The Wednesday major on the site – The Vegas ₹10 Lakhs GTD fell marginally short of its guarantee, filling in 332 seats (191 unique and 141 re-entries). Coming out on top of this field was well-known tournament regular Sumit ‘boronyx’ Sapra, who collected ₹2.20 Lakhs for the win.

Anirban D. ‘pottysingh’ Das was the other big winner on PokerBaazi. He took down the 6-Max Wednesday SuperStack ₹3 Lakhs for ₹82,568. Incidentally, Das also finished ITM in the PokerStars India Night on Stars ₹5 Lakhs GTD, finishing 17th for ₹5,733. Meanwhile, the Progressive KO – 4 Max ₹2 Lakhs GTD on the site was taken down by Amit ‘FeedMeUrStack’ Sinha for ₹44,719.

Adda52’s London ₹10 Lakhs GTD fell short of the guarantee by a little over ₹50,000 yesterday and benefitting the most from the value on offer was ‘Reg_Slayer’ who outlasted the 415-strong entry field (226 unique and 189 re-entries), winning ₹2.40 Lakhs.

On 9stacks, the daily signature tournament – StackUp @8pm ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD – declared a champion in Sabir ‘Sabir’ Hossain who collected ₹65,000.
