An action-packed week is now heading towards one of the biggest tournaments this month, the ₹11,000 buy-in Spartan Super Series (SSS) Millionaire ₹1.5 Crores GTD. The second of three Millionaire`s planned this month hits the Spartan Poker client today at 6 pm!

The Spartan Super Series has kept the tournament crowd busy this week. Riding high on the popularity of the SSS, the Spartan Poker-hosted SSS #24 High Roller ₹50 Lakhs GTD enjoyed a hugely successful run on Thursday. A total of 187 entries (141 unique, 69 re-entries, and 46 rebuys) registered to play, ensuring a guarantee-smashing ₹64 Lakhs prize pool! Besting the elite field to don the winner’s hat was none other than the former Millionaire Champion Nitish ‘buttonclicking’ Gupta, who won ₹13.53 Lakhs for his splendid run.

The former Young Gun has made many heads turn with his recent exploits, both live and online. His breakout score was the ₹32.63 Lakhs he won for shipping The MoneyMaker 8.0 ₹1 Crore GTD last December. He was one of five millionaires who won ₹11.40 Lakhs each at the Millionaire X5 last month on Spartan Poker, and Gupta has once again struck gold on Spartan Poker by taking down the SSS High Rollers for ₹13.53 Lakhs!

Another Young Gun and PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer Singh ‘bazzingaa’ Chadha was among the prominent winners on Thursday. He ran past a stacked field of 284 entries (153 unique, 45 re-entries and 86 rebuys) in Spartan Poker’s SSS #23 Head-Hunter PKO ₹15 Lakhs GTD to win ₹3.32 Lakhs.

Nirmal ‘varonir’ Sankhla (SSS #25 Hi-Fi ₹8 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.27 Lakhs), Aniket ‘Anteman’ Waghmare (SSS #20 Afternoon Showdown ₹4 Lakhs GTD for ₹92,630), ‘potripper16’ (SSS #21 Afternoon Hi-Fi ₹3 Lakhs GTD for ₹72,000) and Paras ‘AAKKQQJJ’ Jain (Ultimate PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹61,922) were the other big winners on Spartan Poker on Thursday. Incidentally Waghmare also placed sixth in the SSS #34 High Rollers for ₹3.12 Lakhs and has earned a total of ₹4.04 Lakhs over just these two scores.

PokerBaazi’s marquee Thursday tournament, The Summit ₹15 Lakhs GTD, was another tournament that brought in the crowds. The event mustered 261 entries (142 unique and 119 re-entries), generating ₹19.57 Lakhs in prize money. Online reg Rubin ‘kornkid’ Labroo came out on top to clinch the title and a ₹4.60 Lakhs payday. While The Summit surpassed its guarantee, the Thursday MonsterStack ₹5 Lakhs GTD had a slight shortfall of ₹10,000. Kanishka ‘Highness’ Samant won the title and ₹1.20 Lakhs. Samant was at his multi-tabling best last night as along with this win, he posted a score in The Summit (17th for ₹23,490), while also final-tabling the SSS #20 Afternoon Showdown ₹4 Lakhs GTD (4th for ₹36,600).

Adda52`s Godfather XI ₹20 Lakhs GTD logged in an impressive 426-strong field (241 unique and 185 re-entries), making for a ₹21.30 Lakhs prize pool. ‘jaydeepreddy9’ was the last player standing in the event and pocketed the winner’s payday worth ₹5.28 Lakhs. Over at Hexagram ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD, Abhishek ‘degen88’ Kumar walked away with the title and ₹78,665 in prize money.

On PokerStars India, the Thursday run of events was headlined by The Highroller ₹12 Lakhs GTD that drew 169 hopefuls (95 unique and 74 re-entries). ‘GutshotHaiBro’ clinched the title and a ₹2.04 Lakhs payday after reaching a heads-up deal with ‘GTO_LIFE_GG.’ The latter got to take home a bigger ₹2.19 Lakhs. Over at The Classic ₹2 Lakhs GTD, Dhinesh ‘you3betl4bet’ Kumar emerged the champion and won ₹49,091.

On 9stacks, the Thunder @8 PM ₹5 Lakhs GTD on 9stacks attracted 120 entries (72 unique, 18 re-entries, and 30 rebuys), having to fill in an overlay of ₹20,000. Staking his claim to the title and the top prize of ₹1.35 Lakhs was Ashish ‘SANShiSh’ Narwal.

Also joining the champion`s club yesterday was ‘Ashwinvijay,’ who outlasted a 95-player field (68 unique and 27 rebuys) in the Warrior Arena ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD on Poker Dangal to add ₹36,000 to his bankroll. The event offered excellent value with a massive ₹55,000 overlay.
