Thursday turned out to be an action-packed day on the virtual felts, with all the popular marquees returning for a guarantee-smashing run across the major sites.

The headliner of the day was Adda52’s Godfather ₹24 Lakhs GTD that witnessed a guarantee-smashing 482 entries (276 unique and 206 re-entries) making for a very impressive ₹24.10 Lakhs prize pool. PokerGuru Ambassador Kartik ‘Pegasus1505’ Ved dominated the field and defeated Abhishek ‘pomfret1989’ Goindi heads-up to win the title. One of the most consistent winners on the circuit, Ved has been in breakout since last year; his claim to fame being his 51st place finish in the WSOP 2019 Main Event. Ved was back in top form yesterday as he got past a very capable Goindi in the Godfather to win ₹5.90 Lakhs. Goindi earned ₹3.49 Lakhs for his deep run.

While the 15K Big Bounty is now down to its final table, the virtual action on PokerBaazi was equally intense. Taking the spotlight was The Summit ₹15 Lakhs GTD that attracted 260 runners (132 unique and 128 re-entries) to accrue a ₹19.50 Lakhs prize pool. Walking away with the most significant share of the prize money was Ashumi ‘Mavrik’ Parekh, who beat out another online reg Goonjan ‘gmtesting’ Mall heads-up to pocket a ₹4.58 Lakhs paycheque. Mall padded his bankroll by ₹3.21 Lakhs.

For Arora, a runner-up finish fetched him ₹2.61 Lakhs in prize money.

Also joining the winner’s circle was Abhishek ‘TheGrinder333’ Garg, who struck a heads-up deal with Ram ‘TheLagLawyer’ Kakkar before taking down PokerStars India’s Highroller ₹10 Lakhs GTD title. Both Garg and Kakkar walked away ₹1.69 Lakhs richer.

Another tournament that pulled in the tournament regs was Thunder @ 7:30 PM ₹5 Lakhs GTD on 9stacks. The event logged in 117 hopefuls (70 unique, 22 re-entries and 25 rebuys) falling some eight entries short of the guarantee for an overlay of ₹32,000. Mall, who’d finished runner-up in The Summit, came whiskers close to the title here as well but had to settle for a runner-up finish yet again. Instead, it was ‘nkv1497’ who won the event for ₹1.41 Lakhs. Nonetheless, Mall earned a payout of ₹97,500, pocketing a total ₹4.18 Lakhs from these two runner-up finishes alone.
