Mondays are usually slow due to the drop in advertised guarantees in the flagships across the board as compared to the more action-packed Sunday schedule, and yesterday was no different. Once again, it was Spartan Poker’s ReCharge ₹12 Lakhs GTD that had the biggest guarantee on offer, and the tournament brought in 601 hopefuls (273 unique, 98 re-entries and 232 re-buys), just about meeting its advertised guarantee with a prize pool collection of ₹12.06 Lakhs. Gaurav’ mozzie17’ Sood pranced across the massive field and eventually came out on top, bagging a top prize worth ₹2.33 Lakhs. There may have been a three-way deal on the final table that saw PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer’ bazingaa’ Singh Chadha walk away with ₹1.48 Lakhs, while ‘bhkh100’ locked in ₹1.07 Lakhs for his third-place finish.
Incidentally, Sood also final tabled Adda52’s Goa Fest ₹8 Lakhs GTD, finishing fifth for ₹48,485. Meanwhile, Chadha reached the final table of PokerBaazi’s The Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD, placing fifth for ₹59,000 and also cashed in PokerStars India’s Monday Hustle ₹6 Lakhs GTD, finishing 30th for ₹5,912.
The Goa Fest ₹8 Lakhs GTD on Adda52 was another marquee tournament that managed to surpass its offered guarantee on the back of 222 runners (124 unique and 98 re-entries), leading to a prize pool collection of ₹8.08 Lakhs. Kamal ‘ksn123’ Naruka championed the event to win ₹2.21 Lakhs.
PokerBaazi’s The Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD registered 246 entries (145 unique and 101 re-entries), falling ₹16,000 short of the guarantee. Anonymous user ‘NOTAPRO’ took down the event, after besting MTT specialist Anuj ‘brockLesnar95’ Yadav (runner-up for ₹1.65 Lakhs) heads-up and took home a winner’s payday of ₹2.35 Lakhs.
Another tournament that was affected by the overlay blizzard was PokerStars India’s Monday Hustle ₹6 Lakhs GTD. Attracting 187 entries (100 unique and 87 re-entries), the site had to shell out an overlay of ₹39,000. ‘shaandaarsingh’
