After a blockbuster Sunday, Monday, as usual, paled in comparison. While there was no dearth of events, the guarantees weren’t as lucrative, and to make matters worse, many flagships suffered overlays. Headlining the online roster, as usual, was Spartan Poker’s Recharge ₹12 Lakhs GTD that clocked in 535 entries (255 unique, 90 re-entries and 190 re-buys), having to fill in a shortfall of ₹1.30 Lakhs. ‘ONmyMAC’ shipped the event for ₹1.68 Lakhs, while Akshay ‘SickRun’ Gupta finished runner-up for ₹1.67 Lakhs. ‘xqwxqw1’ finished third for ₹1.57 Lakhs. The pay gap between the top three players suggests a three-way deal.

PokerBaazi’s Monday flagship tourney, The Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD, was another big-ticket event that couldn’t escape the overlay blizzard. Even after bringing together 201 entrants (133 unique and 68 re-entries), the event had a shortfall of ₹1.96 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘OMG_spew’ Munot outplayed ‘Identity’ heads-up to pocket ₹2.41 Lakhs for his win, while the runner-up walked away with ₹1.69 Lakhs. Munot has been in sublime form lately and was among the top five players to bank a ₹10 Lakhs payday on Sunday in Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire X5 Edition (₹10 Lakhs GTD To Top 5).

The other majors, Adda52’s Goa Fest ₹8 Lakhs GTD and PokerStars India’s Monday Hustle ₹6 Lakhs GTD, both fell short of their advertised guarantees. While the Goa Fest had a shortfall of ₹1.15 Lakhs, the Monday Hustle fell short by ₹1.44 Lakhs. ‘jason911’ took down the Goa Fest for ₹2.24 Lakhs, while ‘Infic11’ topped the field in the Monday Hustle after striking a heads-up deal with ‘deep12322’. Both players took home ₹1.09 Lakhs each.
