Dominating the online action on Thursday was the Baazi Poker Tour Online (BPTO) on PokerBaazi. Underway since January 2, the BPTO will run all the way through January 5 before heading to Goa for the live series. The second day of the series hosted several high-value events, and the featured tournament of the day was the BPTO Summit ₹35 Lakhs GTD. Sporting a ₹8,250 buy-in (includes a ₹750 fee), the event attracted 441 entries (227 unique and 214 re-entries), having to fill in an overlay of ₹1.92 Lakhs. It all came down to the heads-up finale between Young Gun Arsh ‘Button_Hain_Bro’ Grover and PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘OMG_spew’ Munot, with both top pros slogging it out for the title. In the end, it was Grover who came out on top and took home the ₹7.03 Lakhs first-place payday, while Munot collected ₹4.93 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.

The other headliner on the BPTO schedule last night was the BPTO Kick-off 6 ₹20 Lakhs GTD that crowned a champion in WSOP star Abhinav ‘griezman’ Iyer. The Mumbai-lad had entered his name in the annals of poker history last summer when he became the first Indian to claim a solo gold bracelet. Iyer was back at the grind yesterday and took down the BPTO Kick-off title for ₹3.88 Lakhs.

Spartan Poker’s signature Thursday tourney, the Ultron ₹20 Lakhs GTD, ran its usual course yesterday. Packing in 511 runners (223 unique, 102 re-entries and 186 re-buys), the Ultron surpassed its advertised guarantee with a prize pool collection of ₹20.44 Lakhs. Doddapaneni locked in ₹3.98 Lakhs in prize money.

Coming out with a long-awaited change in its TDS policy seems to have worked in Adda52’s favor with its Godfather ₹20 Lakhs GTD registering 428 hopefuls (233 unique and 195 re-entries) last night, making for a guarantee-crushing ₹21.40 Lakhs prize pool. Anonymous user ‘bustedflop’ outlasted musician turned poker pro Dhaval ‘dirtyzoso’ Mudgal heads-up, adding ₹5.30 Lakhs to his bankroll. Mudgal pocketed ₹3.21 Lakhs for placing second.
