A thrilling Thursday on the virtual felts saw the action pick up the pace with Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire X5 Edition (₹10 Lakhs GTD To Top 5) making a comeback. This is the first Millionaire X5 of December and the third overall since it was announced back in October. Day 1A kicked off sharp at 6 PM, and following several hours of play, only 47 players survived from a starting field of 449 entries (255 unique, 63 re-entries and 131 re-buys). Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover bagged the biggest stack of 419,914 with Mayank ‘desithug007’ Gupta (257,019) and ‘Tokio999’ (222,554) rounding out the top three stacks.

The Thursday flagship on Spartan Poker, the Ultron, had its advertised guarantee reduced from ₹25 Lakhs to ₹20 Lakhs this week. However, despite the downward revision, the event could only muster 429 entries (205 unique, 134 re-buys, and 90 re-entries), which meant that the site had to fill in a shortfall of nearly ₹2.84 Lakhs. Anmol ‘Anzzzzz’ Mehta, who has been in breakout form off late, once again came out on top to win the title. Over the past few months, Mehta has worked up quite a scorecard, especially on PokerBaazi. Some of his recent wins include taking down the 6-Max Wednesday SuperStack ₹3 Lakhs GTD on December 25, the BSS SuperStack₹25 Lakhs GTD on December 22, The Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD on November 4 and the PPL #48 BSS MegaStack₹5 Lakhs GTD on September 29. Continuing with his spectacular form, Mehta championed the Ultron last night to take home ₹4.01 Lakhs.

Adda52’s Godfather ₹20 Lakhs GTD was the other big-ticket tournament on the schedule last night. The tournament suffered an overlay of ₹35,000, through 393 entries (225 unique and 168 re-entries), and crowned a champion in Anuj ‘anuj25395’ Yadav. Yadav beat out Monday’s Goa Fest ₹8 Lakhs GTD winner Kamal ‘ksn123’ Naruka (runner-up for ₹3 Lakhs) heads-up to clinch the title and top prize worth ₹4.96 Lakhs. Yadav is another consistent winner with a long list of wins that include shipping PokerBaazi’s The Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD on December 23, the Endeavour ₹15 Lakhs GTD and 9stacks’s StackUp @8 PM NLHE ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD on December 17, along with PokerStars India’s Night on Stars ₹5 Lakhs GTD on December 4.

The Summit ₹15 Lakhs GTD was the headline event that played out on PokerBaazi last night and managed to surpass its posted guarantee with a prize pool collection of ₹17.92 Lakhs. Alok ‘TheProfessional’ Birewar came out on top after defeating Vaibhav ‘WakhraSwagNi’ Sharma (runner-up for ₹2.95 Lakhs) in the heads-up finale to walk away with ₹4.21 Lakhs.

PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh ‘B00MTilt23’ Pal Singh locked horns with Gaurav ‘3betPanda’ Sood in PokerStars India’s Highroller₹12 Lakhs GTD. The former ultimately won the event, adding ₹2.42 Lakhs to his bankroll. Sood received ₹1.80 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.

9stacks’ Thunder @7:30 PM ₹5 Lakhs GTD attracted 107 runners (70 unique, 19 re-entries and 18 re-buys), falling ₹72,000 short of the guarantee. Vishal’ GTOcrusher’ Madan was the last player standing in the event and walked away with ₹1.41 Lakhs for his win.
