It’s the start of the weekend, and things already look promising with Spartan Poker’s latest Millionaire, the SVS The Millionaire Lite, flagging off on February 21. Sporting a buy-in of ₹1,650, this multi-flight tournament commenced at 6 pm yesterday, logging in 620 entries (284 unique, 77 re-entries and 259 re-buys). Only 61 runners made the cut for Day 2, and leading the charge was ‘riverismine’, who bagged the most towering stack of 172,681. ‘Sands Myth’ (171,681) and ‘masterbluff’ (157,488) carried forward the next top stacks!

Besides the Millionaire Lite Day 1A, the other big guarantee event on Spartan Poker was The Elite ₹25 Lakhs GTD. Reeling in 251 entries (119 unique, 63 re-entries and 69 re-buys), the tournament just about met the advertised guarantee with a prize pool collection of ₹25.10 Lakhs. Online wizard Srihari ‘bangbang99’ Bang took down the event, banking an impressive ₹4.78 Lakhs in prize money after striking a heads-up deal with ‘TheWitche007’ who pocketed ₹4.53 lakhs for their runner-up finish.

Perhaps the most appropriately named Friday marquee event is Spartan Poker’s TGIF ₹10 Lakhs GTD. Attracting 640 entrants (302 unique, 118 re-entries and 220 re-buys), the tournament crowned a champion in Kaleem’ TheSherlock’ Pasha, who bested Venkatesh’ Borissss’ Mukundan heads-up to take home a winner’s payday of ₹1.93 Lakhs. Mukundan received ₹1.22 Lakhs for placing second.

One of the most renowned players of the circuit, Sriharsha’ Fish2050’ Doddapaneni, was seen triumphing over a field of 293 entries (140 unique, 43 re-entries and 110 re-buys) in Spartan Poker’s SVS #15 – Hi-Fi ₹4 Lakhs GTD, adding ₹1.01 Lakhs to his bankroll. He also finished fifth in PokerBaazi’s Grinders #24 Friday SuperStack ₹3 Lakhs GTD for ₹20,479 and eighth in 9stacks’ 9SS #3 Highroller ₹7 Lakhs GTD for ₹19,250.

PokerBaazi’s Friday flagship, Fri-Yay ₹6 Lakhs GTD, had a tough time bringing in the crowds, leading to an overlay of ₹1.38 Lakhs.

‘lanumar1963’ ran past a field of 157 participants (102 unique and 55 re-entries) to walk away with the top prize of ₹1.54 Lakhs.

Adda52’s signature Friday tourney, The Ballers ₹17 Lakhs GTD, did quite well to post a prize pool of ₹21.02 Lakhs on the back of 307 entries (152 unique and 155 re-entries). Anmol’ anzzzzz’ Mehta shipped the event, grabbing the hefty winner’s paycheque of ₹5.25 Lakhs. Mehta was in spectacular form last night as he picked up another final table score in Spartan Poker’s TGIF ₹10 Lakhs GTD where he finished third for ₹87,500.

The Uppercut 6-Max MAGIC Edition ₹10 Lakhs GTD on PokerStars India was another marquee event that suffered an overlay. Registering 240 entries (121 unique and 119 re-entries), the tournament fell ₹40,000 short on the posted guarantee. Making the most of the value on offer was

Anuj’ brockLesnar95’ Yadav, who defeated Sushant’ sush2209’ Singh (runner-up for ₹97,439) heads-up to stake a claim on the ₹2.05 Lakhs up top. The young pro also final tabled Spartan Poker’s TGIF event, placing sixth for ₹42,700.

Over at 9stacks, the Super Series is currently underway, and the headliner event of the night was the 9SS #3 Highroller ₹7 Lakhs GTD. The event gathered 136 entries (81 unique, 25 re-entries and 30 re-buys), falling ₹20,000 short of break-even. Bhavye’ noobpro’ Mittal came out on top to win ₹1.82 Lakhs.
