After an electrifying weekend, the virtual felts seem to have caught the ‘Monday blues’ with the action slowing down considerably yesterday. PokerBaazi’s signature The Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD brought in 254 entries (138 unique and 116 re-entries), just about managing to ride past its advertised guarantee with a prize pool collection of ₹10.16 Lakhs. Anmol ‘anzzzzz’ Mehta hit the home run to win the title and the ₹2.39 Lakhs first-place prize. The other PokerBaazi event, Monday MegaStack ₹3 Lakhs GTD fell short of the mark, albeit only by a small margin of ₹22,000. Continuing his excellent run, Ryan ‘AceFromSpace’ Cardoso, who had won the BSS PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD last Sunday for ₹55,620, came out on top once again to win ₹77,250.

Moving over to Spartan Poker, the two Monday majors, both saw a decline in numbers. The ReCharge ₹12 Lakhs GTD ran amid 581 runners (271 unique, 103 re-entries and 207 rebuys), falling ₹38,000 short of break-even. Taking home the title and the top prize of ₹2.32 Lakhs was ‘TM20’. The player defeated Mohit ‘TurnYourAce’ Kankariya heads-up on his way to the podium. 23-year old Kankariya, who hails from Chennai, is a regular on Spartan Poker and has been displaying good form lately. Last Sunday, he had final tabled (8th for ₹62,952) the SSS #40 Sunday SuperStack 25 Lakhs GTD. While finishing runner-up in the ReCharge fetched him ₹1.45 Lakhs, he had also placed second in the Afternoon Showdown ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹49,965.

The Ultimate PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD on the site was hit the hardest and could only muster 63 entries (49 unique and 14 re-entries), resulting in an overlay of about ₹74,000. ‘mainhunfish’ benefited the maximum from the value on offer and pocketed the winning amount worth ₹54,847.

Adda52 was perhaps the only site that managed to avoid the overlay fever and saw its Monday flagship event – Goa Fest ₹8 Lakhs GTD – post a healthy prize pool of ₹9.02 Lakhs from 248 entries (143 unique and 105 re-entries). Tournament regular Ayan ‘gutshotguru1’ Ray shipped the event after besting Young Gun Karan ‘Reg_Slayer’ Radia heads-up. Ray took home ₹2.34 Lakhs, while Radia locked in ₹1.39 Lakhs.

With the Diwali Rush series done and dusted, PokerStars India was back to its regularly scheduled events. The mega Monday tournament, Monday Hustle ₹6 Lakhs GTD fell short of the mark with 199 entries (107 unique and 92 re-entries). Online regular Harsh ‘kakori kabab’ Dembla championed the event to win ₹1.02 Lakhs following a heads-up chop with ‘Wanabepro299’ (runner-up for ₹1.02 Lakhs).

On 9stacks, the StackUp @8 PM ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD fared much better and accrued a ₹2.77 Lakhs prize pool over 185 entries (100 unique, 33 re-entries and 52 rebuys). Bharat ‘rungooserun’ Vasan took down the title to win ₹72,150.

Poker Dangal’s Monday Texas ₹1 Lakh GTD played out with 270 runners (105 unique, 96 re-entries and 69 add-ons) yesterday – registering a ₹19,000 overlay. ‘rohit25king’ dominated the field to win ₹24,000. Pulkit ‘FOLDAA’ Goyal, who was part of the Indian contingent at the 2019 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE), final tabled the event, finishing seventh for ₹3,750.
