China`s Zhi Lin Takes Down ACOP Platinum Series XIII Main Event

The ACOP Platinum Series XIII concluded on April 24 at the ‘PokerStars LIVE Macau’ poker room, awarding more than HK $2.6 million in prize money, across seven events to an accumulative entry-crowd of 782 players.

The highlight buy-in Main Event was won by China’s Zhi Lin (cover image) for HK $258,810. The event drew 239 runners, leading to a prize pool of HK $1,078,010. The top 27 players cashed and this included No.1 ranked Quan Zhou at 16th place and current Asia Player of the Year (APOY) Alan Lau at 24th place.

The finale saw Lin with a 2 to 1 advantage against Venezuela’s Jose Rivas in a heads up that lasted less than an hour. On the final hand, Lin min-raised 60k preflop and Rivas moved all-in for his remaining 866k and Lin called.

The board opened giving Lin a full house to claim the title and Rivas was relegated to second place for HK $167,200.
