The ninth month of the year kicked off with a lot of fireworks on the virtual felts! The biggest tournament last night was Spartan Poker’s Sunday SuperStack ₹30 Lakhs GTD that logged in 633 entries (275 unique, 145 re-entries and 213 re-buys), and declared a champion in online phenom Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover. The Delhi-lad banked an impressive ₹6.08 Lakhs!

Vaibhav ‘BeBoT’ Sharma was the winner of the other big guarantee tournament, the Big Daddy ₹5 Lakhs GTD, held on Spartan Poker last night. Sharma netted ₹1.29 Lakhs after overcoming a field of 431 entries (239 unique, 47 re-entries and 145 re-buys).

While the player’s boycott against Adda52 seems to be heading towards a resolution, the site is yet to recover from its season of overlays though the shortfall was relatively minuscule last night. The biggest guaranteed event this Sunday was the Mega Suits ₹25 Lakhs GTD that registered a slight overlay of around ₹45,000. India’s only female WSOP bracelet winner and Adda52 Team pro Nikita ‘nikitaluther’ Luther championed the tournament, taking home ₹6.12 Lakhs for her win. The other Sunday major on Adda52, Big Slick ₹15 Lakhs GTD experienced a more significant overlay of nearly ₹2.34 Lakhs with Sajjan ‘HaiTohHai’ Barnwal taking down the title and the ₹2.37 Lakhs top prize.

PokerBaazi’s signature Sunday event, Baazi Super Sunday (BSS) SuperStack ₹25 Lakhs GTD came back with a vengeance attracting 629 entries (385 unique and 244 re-entries) that helped generate a prize pool of ₹31.45 Lakhs. Ayush ‘Proman502’ Garg juggernauted his way to the top of the field, adding a cool ₹5.94 Lakhs to his bankroll.

The other Sunday events on PokerBaazi were won by ‘Slecker’ (BSS Megastack ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.52 Lakhs), Sam ‘thereallokimon’ Anand (The Monster ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.47 Lakhs) and ‘akhil0498’ (BSS PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹56,392).

PokerStars India had brought in its popular Micro Millions series for the very time on the India client on August 25. Comprising of 45 events, the series concluded on September 1 with the star attraction of the series – the Main Event ₹10 Lakhs GTD. The tournament pulled in a massive 860 entries (492 unique and 368 re-entries), reaching a prize pool worth ₹12.90 Lakhs. Neel ‘Worm236’ Joshi ran past the vast field to claim a winner’s paycheque of ₹2.15 Lakhs.

PokerStars India’s Sunday roster also declared winners in Ashish ‘teshaTriple7’ Garg (Micro Millions – 40: Final Warm-Up ₹3 Lakhs GTD for ₹59,523), Anant ‘Dr4gonW4rrior’ Purohit (Micro Millions – 41: Pot Limit Omaha ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹48,090) and ‘CARDashian66’ (Micro Millions – 43: Storm Special Edition ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹26,885).

9stacks’ mainstay Sunday event – The Joker ₹20 Lakhs GTD was taken down by ‘Chip_Reese’ for ₹4.80 Lakhs.

Fast-growing poker site Khelo 365’s Big Bang ₹1 Lakh GTD was championed by ‘sristi’ for ₹44,000.

PokerGuru Ambassadors continued their stellar runs on the biggest night of the week with Kartik Ved, Parikshit Dhall, Rony Chowdhary, Nadeem Basha, Vishal Bajaj, Laksh Pal Singh, Ashutosh Balodhi, Gokul Raj, Vivek Singh, Jayjit Ray, Devvrat Arya, Faiz Alam, Ashish Ahuja and Arjanveer Singh Chadha, all making deep runs in major events.

A player that deserves special mention for his standout performance last night is Rachit Parihar. Parihar who had shipped the Sunday SuperStack last Sunday for ₹5.84 Lakhs, final tabled three events last night, namely Spartan Poker’s Sunday SuperStack (4th for ₹2.19 Lakhs), 9stacks’ The Joker (5th for ₹1.10 Lakhs) and PokerStars India’s Micro Millions Main Event (5th for ₹55,572).
