The weekend is here, and starting proceedings with a bang was Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire Legends ₹2 Crores GTD. Day 1A of this Spartan flagship started at 6 PM on Friday, and over the next five hours, the 320 entrants (226 unique, 59 re-entries, and 35 rebuys) fought hard for a berth for Day 2. Only 52 among them succeeded in making it till the end of play with UK-based Yasheel YagammiLight7’ Doddanavar

(4,01,376) bagging the most massive stack of all. It has been an eventful last few days for Doddanavar, who is presently in Vietnam playing at the Asian Poker Tour. Just a day before the Millionaire started, Doddanavar was seen playing Day 1A of the APT Vietnam Main Event, where he bagged the fifth largest stack among 21 survivors. He seems to have found excellent form as just last month, he had taken down the WPT India ₹100K High Roller for ₹34.64 Lakhs – his first major tournament title at the time. He was the only player on Day 1A of the Millionaire Legends to bag over 400K in chips.

Having said that not far behind is well known pro Sriharsha ‘Fish2050’ Doddapaneni (3,96,061), while Aniket ‘Anteman’ Waghmare (3,36,444) rounds out the top three stacks advancing from Day 1A.

While the Millionaire fever will keep the virtual rails enraptured for a better part of the month, the usual Friday tourneys on the site had an action-packed run as well. Headlining the action was The Elite ₹25 Lakhs GTD that logged in 280 entries (123 unique, 73 re-entries and 89 rebuys), making for an impressive ₹28.50 Lakhs prize pool. In the end, it was ‘blindgame’ who emerged the champion and walked away with ₹6.31 Lakhs. In the other events on the site, Pratyush ‘PlayMyWay’ Singh (TGIF ₹10 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.30 Lakhs) and ‘loThbrOck’ (Ultimate PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹60,505) won titles.

Over at PokerBaazi, the Friday headliner FRI-YAY ₹10 Lakhs GTD played out amid 359 entries. Rising to the champion’s seat was Jitendra ‘Jeet0’ Gadhwal, who banked a winner’s cheque worth ₹2.20 Lakhs. ‘furiosa’ was the other big winner on the site and took down the Turbo ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹50,652, after besting PokerGuru Ambassador Shashank ‘indianrat’ Desai runner-up for ₹35,475) heads-up.

On Adda52, both the Friday majors had a great run. The Ballers ₹15 Lakhs GTD overshot its guarantee to collect ₹16.09 Lakhs in prize money and was taken down by a familiar name, Anurag ‘NormanBates’ Srivastava. Srivastava netted the first-place purse worth ₹3.08 Lakhs for his efforts. Over at the Hexagram ₹2 Lakhs GTD, a ₹2.91 Lakhs prize pool was generated, and Pushkin ‘Magnetor600’ Saxena came out on top to win ₹81,536.

On PokerStars India, the Uppercut Progressive KO 6-Max ₹10 Lakhs GTD crowned a champion in Dhinesh ‘you3betl4bet’ Kumar who banked ₹2.16 Lakhs. Moving over to the 6-Max NLHE ₹2 Lakhs GTD, Ayush ‘Kyanaamrakhu’ Garg got past PokerGuru Ambassador Tathagata ‘RadioActivity’ Sengupta (runner-up for ₹34,266) heads-up to win ₹45,634.

9stacks’ StackUp @8 PM got hit by an overlay last night as 153 entries (89 unique, 36 re-entries, and 28 rebuys) came in, resulting in a ₹20,500 shortfall. ‘Luxcozii’ snagged the title along with ₹67,500 in cash prize.

Rounding up our report is Poker Dangal’s Dangal Friday ₹1 Lakh GTD that was taken down by ‘fishcall’ for ₹24,192.
