It was a smashing Sunday on the online felts! Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire ₹1 Crore GTD was the talk of virtual felts as the mega tournament pulled in 1,362 entries through three starting flights, obliterating its advertised guarantee with a prize pool collection of ₹1.36 Crores. Anonymous player ‘hoodlincs’ championed the gigantic field, claiming a jaw-dropping ₹19.49 Lakhs, while online pro Anant ‘Pro’ Purohit, who had been in sublime form recently, both on the live and online felts, locked in an equally impressive ₹18.51 Lakhs for his runner-up finish. Purohit is perhaps one of the most well-known names on the virtual felts and had made waves earlier this year at the DPT Xpress series where he had won his first-ever live title in the ₹15K Main Event for ₹7.40 Lakhs.

Several other prominent events were hosted on Spartan Poker last night that saw ‘GHOSTF@CE (Sunday SuperStack ₹30 Lakh GTD for ₹5.82 Lakhs), Sameer ‘Falcon_Prince’ Paranjape (Big Daddy ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.19 Lakhs), ‘momstacos’ (₹3 Lakhs GTD DST for ₹59,010) and Paras ‘AAKKQQJJ’ Jain (Ultimate PLO ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹43,192) winning top prizes.

After withering through an overlay storm that had raged on for many weeks, Adda52`s Sunday mainstay tournament – Mega Suits ₹25 Lakhs GTD – was finally able to meet its guarantee last night. Attracting 505 entries (304 unique and 201 re-entries), the event generated ₹25.25 Lakhs in the prize pool. Recent Godfather X winner, Anil ‘spewtard’ Adiani, clinched the title and walked away with ₹6.06 Lakhs in prize money. The other Sunday signature event on Adda52, Big Slick ₹15 Lakhs GTD, was won by ‘saker’ for ₹2.10 Lakhs.

With PokerBaazi’s PPL little more than a week away, things are heating up on the Baazi felts. Yesterday, the Baazi Super Sunday (BSS) SuperStack ₹25 Lakhs GTD registered 626 entries (357 unique and 269 re-entries) with young talent Vishal ‘Vishallb22’ Bajaj coming out on top to win the title. The young player bested seasoned pro Akash ‘UtgWithUrMOM’ Malik (runner-up for ₹4.14 Lakhs) heads-up to bank a huge ₹5.91 Lakhs payday. In fact, Bajaj had a spectacular run on PokerBaazi last night, as he added another ₹97,821 to his bankroll for his runner-up finish in The Monster 6-Max ₹5 Lakhs GTD. India’s first solo WSOP gold bracelet winner Abhinav ‘griezmann’ Iyer won the event for ₹1.39 Lakhs.

‘TRIPPINonACID’ (Grinders #33 Main Event ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.23 Lakhs) and Shekhar ‘shakyshark’ Singh (BSS PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹56,300) were the other big winners on PokerBaazi yesterday.

PokerStars India’s Sunday Special – Progressive KO ₹15 Lakhs GTD was another event that was able to surpass its guarantee after struggling for months. The event registered 320 entries (178 unique and 142 re-entries), creating a prize pool worth ₹16 Lakhs. ‘GRINDER1104’ took down the tournament for a ₹3.55 Lakhs payday.

The other Sunday events on PokerStars India were won by Deepak ‘spot_fixing’ Singh (Sunday Special (L) ₹10 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.87 Lakhs), Vishal ‘mdigurgaon’ Tulsyan (Sunday PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹53,981) and ‘rdx1111’ (Sunday Warm-Up ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹29,090).

The second WSOP bracelet winner to champion an event last night was Aditya ‘i8stacks’ Sushant who juggernaut his way to the top of the 402-strong entry field (339 unique and 63 re-entries) of The Joker ₹20 Lakhs GTD on 9stacks, eventually collecting ₹4.80 Lakhs for his win.

Fast-growing online poker site Khelo365 hosted several big guarantee events last Sunday which crowned champions in ‘Youngwolf009’ (Twister ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹80,000), ‘daiwik’ (Big Bang ₹1 Lakh GTD (₹43,200), ‘Redjohn’ (Mega Splash ₹1 Lakhs GTD for ₹43,000) and ‘chunky20’ (Deep Stack ₹40K GTD for ₹16,000).

Poker Dangal’s ₹1 Lakh GTD Sunday Bonanza was taken down by ‘Prokiller’ for ₹29,769.

Numerous Indians who are presently participating in the ongoing WPT Vietnam series were seen in action on the online felts yesterday. Most notable of them was the WPT Kickoff event runner-up finisher Rubin Labroo, who made deep runs in Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire (15th for ₹1.19 Lakhs) and Adda52’s Mega Suits (3rd for ₹2.39 Lakhs).
