Final Table Recap

With only the top six players assured payouts, the race to finish in the money was intense, and ultimately, Kahle Burns, Kristen Bicknell, and Ole Schemion failed to make the cut.

The first player to finish in the money was Malaysia’s Choon Siow who exited in sixth place, followed by German Higher Roller specialist Steffen Sontheimer who was dismissed in fifth place.

Triton co-founder Paul Phua was the next player to hit the rail when his jack-ten ran into Tom Vogelsang’s pocket fours. Phua walked out in fourth place.

Finishing in third place was Turkey’s Selahaddin Bedir who registered his personal-best score till date in this event.

Bedir’s exit set up the heads-up match between Tom Vogelsang and Michael Chi Zhang. In the end, it was the UK pro who clinched the title. On the final hand, Vogelsang queen-ten were no match for Zhang’s ace-seven that hit three-of-a-kind sevens on the river. Zhang went on to bank a €350,000 payday, relegating Vogelsang to a runner-up finish.
