The 2019 Borgata Winter Poker Open is on its last legs. With Day 4 of the $3 Million GTD WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open (WPO) Championship event now over, Dave Farah (18,850,000) leads the remaining six finalists who will resume play on March 13 at the HyperX Esports Arena at Luxor in Las Vegas as part of televised coverage.
PokerStars Team Pro Aditya Agarwal was also seen in action at the event. He had qualified for Day with a workable stack of 89,600, but hit the rail before the money bubble.
Besides Farah, the other final tablists include Brandon Hall (14,100,000), Daniel Buzgon (9,100,000), Joseph Di Rosa Rojas (5,800,000), Ian O’Hara (5,100,000) and Vinicius Lima (3,550,000).
The 177 players who had made the cut for Day 3 were all assured a min-cash of $6,024. Following 148 eliminations, the field dwindled down to 29 players.
Notable eliminations of Day 3 include Bobby Oboodi (39th for $18,087), Paul Volpe (52nd for $13,398), Jessica Dawley (58th for $11,728), Day 2 chip leader Alex Aqel (69th for $10,384), Joey Couden (77th for $9,301), multiple WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth (102nd for $7,176) and Ryan D’Angelo (127th for $6,742).
Indian-origin players Shankar Pillai (40th for $18,087 – ₹12,83,281), Soheb Porbandarwala (57th for $11,728 – ₹8,32,107), Mukul Pahuja (150th for $6,413 – ₹4,55,005) and Akash Seth (151st for $6,413 – ₹4,55,005) also finished in the money.
Nick Schwarmann captured the overnight chip lead and bagged 4,565,000 in chips. Other notable stacks included Ping Liu (1,920,000), Taylor Wilson (980,000) and Ian O’Hara (740,000).

A flurry of eliminations on Day 4 saw the six-handed final table taking shape. On the 65th hand of the event, Dave Farah took over the chip lead from Brandon Hall and held on to it all the way till the end of play. Farah is a big chip leader with his massive stack of 18,850,000 and has an over 4.5 Million lead over his closest competitor.
The prominent names on the list of eliminated players on Day 4 were Brandon Shane (8th for $92,693), Day 3 chip leader Nick Schwarmann (11th for $57,833), Lucas Braga (13th for $46,397), Ping Liu (15th for $37,614), Chase Bianchi (22nd for $25,524) and Jonas Wexler (24th for $25,524).
Steven Sarmiento became the final table bubble boy as he finished seventh for $119,159.
The final six players will return on March 13 at HyperX Esports Arena at Luxor in Las Vegas, Nevada, where the televised final table will play out.
