What better way to begin the year than to attend a grand poker festival! Yes, online giant PokerStars will be making a start on its live tours with the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) that is to be hosted at the luxurious Atlantis Resort Paradise Island in the sunny Bahamas.
Atlantis Paradise Island is the Caribbean’s top vacation resort featuring the world’s largest open-air marine habitat – Aquaventure, a 141-acre water park, including the iconic Mayan Temple’s Leap of Faith slide, 11 incredible pools, four miles of magnificent beaches; a Tom Weiskopf-designed 18-hole, oceanfront golf course; and of course, the Atlantis Casino.
The 2018 PCA series will feature 31 action-packed events and is slated to commence on January 6 running all through January 14, 2018.
The headline event of the series will be the six-day $10,300 PCA Main Event that includes two starting flights on January 8 and 9 respectively. The tournament will be a deep-stacked tournament with players starting with 30,000 chips and blinds will increase every hour on the first day and every 90 minutes on subsequent days.
Players can also win PCA Main Event packages online through satellites and sub-satellites on PokerStars. The PCA Main Event package valued at $14,855 includes a Main Event ticket, hotel accommodation at the luxurious resort, $1,000 cash folio, access to the player’s party and more.
It’s all part of PokerStars’ commitment to make the PCA an event to remember, with big fields, big prize pools, and a great overall experience for all players.
The schedule also features many high buy-in events with the biggest two events taking place early on in the schedule i.e. $100,000 PCA Super High Roller scheduled to play out from January 6 – 8 and the $50,000 PCA High Roller on January 8 – 9.
Not the high roller types? You won’t be disappointed as the lower-limit events are plenty in number too with tournament buy-ins starting at just $330 and live qualifiers starting at a mere $160.
Additionally, any player entering at least one event will be invited to play in the PCA $50,000 Freeroll on January 14.
That’s not all as there will be sit-and-go tournaments running around the clock with buy-ins starting at $120. In addition, there will be cash action across all stakes ranging from $1/2 to $200/$400. Hold’em and Omaha cash game players will also be able to win a High Hand Bonus of at least $300 each hour!
