With just two days left for the 12th edition of the IOPC to get over, the record-crushing series is heading towards an exciting finale.
Day 16 of the series had six events playing down to a winner, but grabbing the spotlight was unsurprisingly the ₹50 Lakhs GTD IOPC #100 – Friday Spotlight. The ₹11,000 buy-in event got underway at 9:30 PM and logged in a 565-entry field by the time late registrations got over. The top 55 places got a share from the ₹56.50 Lakhs prize pool. PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek ‘KasolHieghts’ Singh (opted out of our tracking) stormed his way to the finish line to win the event for ₹9.45 Lakhs and an exclusive IOPC NFT. Spartan Poker reg Dinesh ‘DONKT@RD’ Pilkhwal overcame the 448-entry field in the ₹6 Lakhs GTD IOPC #97 to collect the lion`s share of the ₹6.72 Lakhs prize pool worth ₹1.34 Lakhs. ‘sanapalbhar’ finished runner-up for ₹89,578. The ₹1,650 buy-in event paid out 39 places.
The ₹4.25 Lakhs GTD IOPC #98 had 480 hopefuls signing up for ₹1,100, and only 39 among them got a share from the ₹4.80 Lakhs prize pool. The user ‘Sunju0101’ walked away with the title and the ₹96,240 up-top while Vipan ‘Vipannn’ Kumar pocketed ₹63,984 in second place.
Ashish ‘Ataraxia’ Kaushik shipped the ₹3.50 Lakhs GTD IOPC #96 for ₹59,087 following a heads-up deal with Shambo ‘Somebady’ Mukherjee (2nd for ₹54,809). The ₹550 buy-in event registered a 722-entry field, and the top 63 finishers got a piece of the ₹3.61 Lakhs prize pool.
The gold and diamond-studded IOPC Crown is to be awarded to a deserving champion on Sunday! Friday saw Day 1E of the ₹3.50 Crores GTD IOPC – The Crown run its course, and 59 players from a 467-entry staring starting field make the cut for Day 2. ‘mahlife’ (319,483) topped the end of day chip counts, while Piyush ‘jacks_apart’ Jain (307,382), Vikranth ‘borntrouble’ Varma (305,352), Simon ‘BustedFlush’ Mint (286,465), and Ayush ‘Tabono’ Garg (245,876) round out the top five stacks of the day.
The IOPC – The Crown had filled in a total of 2,136 entries across five starting flights and needs to clock in at least 1,364 entries in the last three flights to break even. So far, 311 players (not unique) have advanced to Day 2, which is slated for Sunday (10 PM).
The ₹40 Lakhs GTD Value Mine also played out its Day 1E flight. The ₹660 buy-in event brought in 473 challengers, and 44 among them advanced through to Day 2. Vinay ‘Aapka Apna’ Choudhry (205,984), Amit ‘deshominisation’ Kaushik (198,426), and ‘Pro0rWhat’ (172,132) topped the day-end chip counts.
With the ₹1 Crore IOPC Leaderboard race on the final stretch, the competition is as tight as ever. The TLB crusher Bhanu ‘ikiru’ Prakash KC is the hot favorite to win the IOPC POS title for a record-extending third time, as he headlines the standings with 12,927 points. However, Vinay ‘BeepBeepImaJeep’ Rajpal (12,664 points) is close on his coattails, with Mohit ‘thejoker’ Mehta (11,144 points) ranked #3.

Driving up the action on PokerBaazi was the third edition of the APT India Online Series. Like the IOPC, APT India will also be wrapping up over the weekend, setting the stage for a blockbuster finale.
Day 6 of the series had five events on tap, and lighting up the Friday action was the ₹80 Lakhs GTD APT#30 Super Highroller, featuring a pricey ₹55,000 buy-in. The trophy event filled in a reg-laden 171-entry field (110 entries and 61 re-entries), recording a guarantee-crushing ₹85.50 Lakhs prize pool. The two-time The Millionaire champion Vishal ‘dilbaghsingh’ Tulsyan converted a ₹5,500 satellite buy-in into a site-best ₹21.26 Lakhs payday, as he took down the event to collect the APT Trophy and his fourth APT India Online title. Last night, Spartan Poker’s Destiny logged in a 361-entry field, overlaying ₹2.95 Lakhs on its ₹21 Lakhs prize pool guarantee. The three-time The Summit champion Harsh ‘aaja maal phuka’ Dembla took under eight hours to champion the event, adding ₹4.57 Lakhs to his kitty. He chopped the title heads-up with Kiran ‘Yuki2417’ Ainala (2nd for ₹4.46 Lakhs). Dembla is now the sixth player to book a seat in the Destiny 21.0 SnG Finale set for November 28 (9 PM).

The ₹15 Lakhs GTD UVS Everest played out Day 1C last evening with 205 entrants joining the fray, expanding the total field size to 566 entries (Day 1A – 151, Day 1B – 210, and Day 1C – 205). After the stipulated 26 levels of play, only 26 players made the cut for Day 2. Mandar ‘MAMA04’ Madaye (295,326), Areyann ‘VerbalDiarrhea’ Gurbaxani (174,139), and ‘james_bond0071’ (164,890) topped the day-end chip counts.
