Kshitij Kucheria is the Big Bounty Champion; Deepanshi Tomar Eliminated in 2nd Place

Its all over folks! Kshitij Kucheria has claimed his career-first live title at the BPT January 2020 edition ₹15K Big Bounty event for a personal-best ₹4.70 Lakhs! GM Marketing for Baazi Games Deepanshi Tomar finished runner-up and also banked her first live score of ₹3.22 Lakhs.

On the final hand, Kucheria moved all-in with from the button and Tomar reshoved, holding , with her remaining stack of about 8 BBs.

The board bricked for Tomar, ending her run in second place. Kucheria’s pocket fours won him the title, along with a total of seven bounties!

Kshitij Kucheria Takes Back the Chip Lead

Deepanshi Tomar has been bleeding chips for a while and has finally lost the chip lead to Kshitij Kucheria.

On the fateful hand, Kucheria limped in from the button, and Tomar raised it to 240K. Kucheria jammed all-in, prompting Tomar to fold.

Tomar’s stack dwindled to 965,000 while Kucheria has shot up to 1.9 Million.

• Level 28: 40000 -80000,80000 Ante

Kshitij Kucheria limped in from the button and Tomar raised it to 210K. Kucheria called to see the flop . Tomar led out for 200K and Kucheria called again. The turn fell and both players checked down to see the river . Tomar fired a bet of 150K, forcing Kucheria to fold.

With this pot, Tomar`s stack has climbed up to 1.7 Million giving her the chip lead, while Kucheria has come down to 1.2 Million.

The only woman warrior at the final table has been quite a revelation. She was in the thick of the action yet again when she won a pot from Kshitij Kucheria. Tomar opened to 125K and Kucheria called to see the flop . Both players checked to see the turn . Kucheria checked again and Tomar fired a bet of 150K. Kucheria called and the dealer flipped over the on the river. Kucheria moved all-in for 1.8 Million and Tomar called for her last 455K.

Its Heads-Up Time!

Following Sodha’s elimination in third place, the clock has been paused. The heads-up will now commence between Kshitij Kucheria and Deepanshi Tomar. Both players are yet to win a live title and therefore will be fighting hard to claim that first live trophy.

Chirag Sodha Eliminated in 3rd Place

PokerBaazi’s very own Chirag Sodha has made a habit out of final tabling BPT events. Last year, he had final tabled the ₹50K Main Event, finishing fifth for ₹12.28 Lakhs. He is already off to a great start in this series after final tabling the ₹10K Kick-Off (5th for ₹1.48 Lakhs) and we can expect many more spectacular runs from him in the day’s to come.

Making back-to-back final tables, Sodha’s Big Bounty run came to an end when he moved all-in with 7 BBs from the button holding and was called by Kshitij Kucheria in the big blind with king-deuce off-suit. Kucheria went on to hit a one card king-high flush to eliminate Sodha in third place for ₹1.81 Lakhs.

J Raju Eliminated in 4th Place

J Raju moved all-in from UTG holding and was called by Kshitij Kucheria in the big blind with king-queen off-suit. A queen on the flop gave Kucheria a pair, ousting Raju in fourth place for ₹1.37 Lakhs.

Gangadhar Raaj Eliminated in 5th Place

• Level 25: 20000 -40000,40000 Ante

The start-of-final table chip leader Gangadhar Raaj is out of the Big Bounty! A series regular, Raaj has been a frequent face in the previous edition of the series and had final tabled two events last series. He had final tabled this very event last year as well, and this around, he once again put in a blistering performance, falling four places short of the title.

On Raaj`s final hand of the tournament, Chirag Sodha opened from under the gun, short-stacked Raaj pushed his remaining stack in the middle with ace-ten off-suit, Sodha called with pocket tens and held on to eliminate Raaj in fifth place for ₹1.06 Lakhs.

Anmol Srivats Eliminated in 6th Place

• Level 22: 10000 -20000,20000 Ante

In a battle between blinds, Anmol Srivats in small blinds jammed 120K holding queen-eight off-suit and was called by Chirag Sodha with queen-nine off-suit and held. Srivats walked out in sixth place for ₹82,500.

Nishant Sharma Eliminated in 7th Place

• Level 22: 10000 -20000,20000 Ante

Nishant Sharma open-shoved pocket sevens and was called by the lone lady at the table – Deepanshi Tomar – who had pocket queens. The dealer dealt a queen on the flop that gave Tomar a set, dismissing Sharma in seventh place for ₹70,800.

Deepanshi Tomar Wins A Pot

In a blind v. blind confrontation both the players limped to see a flop of . J Raju opened to 37K from small blind, Deepanshi Tomar called to see dealt on the turn. Raju fired a bet of 120K, Tomar went all-in with that forced Raju to fold.

Two Quick Eliminations: Bobbe Suri Eliminated in 9th Place and Abhishek Rathod in 8th Place

• Level 19: 5000 -10000,10000 Ante

And we have the first two eliminations of the Big Bounty final table.

Deepanshi Tomar opened to 23K on the button, Gangadhar Raj flat called from the small blind. Bobbe Suri 3-bet to 65K from the big blind and Tomar folded while Raj called. Raj checked the flop , Suri led out 85k, and Raj tank called. On the turn card , Raj moved all-in, Suri called tabling for a jack-high straight. Raj showed for a better straight. The river was a brick , eliminating Suri in ninth place for ₹40,400.

Soon after that, Nishant Sharma opened to 22K and J. Raju 3-bet to 60K. Abhishek Rathod jammed for 240K and Sharma got out of the way. Raju called with . Rathod tabled . Raju’s pocket nines held, eliminating the former in eighth place for ₹56,200.

₹15K Big Bounty Finalists Are Back!

The ₹15K Big Bounty of the Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) January 2020 edition is all set to kick off! The nine finalists headlined by overnight chip leader Gangadhar Raaj are back!
