The ₹15K Big Bounty was the second event on Baazi Poker Tour’s (BPT) January 2020 edition and registered 193 entries, collecting a guarantee smashing ₹17,56,300 in the prize pool.
The top 24 places were assured payouts and it was old-timer Myron Pereira who had to wear the tag of becoming the unfortunate bubble boy.
The event was scheduled to play out all the way through the 20th level, however, the fast pace of eliminations resulted in the final table being formed three minutes into the start of Level 19.
Following the elimination of Gurjeet Singh in 10th place for ₹30,400, the nine-handed final table was formed.
Headlining the nine finalists was a familiar name at the BPT – Gangadhar Raaj. Raaj had made deep runs in several BPT events in the last BPT series and he is once again in the driver’s seat after bagging the end-of-day chip lead with 535,000 in chips.
Hot on Raaj’s coattails are J. Raju (481,000) and Deepanshi Tamar (406,000), who feature among the top three stacks of the day.
The final table will resume at 2 PM on January 10, where the action will be live-streamed (with 30-minute delay).
