The 2017-2018 Season of World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) tournaments came to a close with the recently concluded WSOPC Harrah’s New Orleans tournament. WSOP has now announced the annual schedule of WSOP US Circuit tournaments for the year 2018-2019.

The WSOPC US Circuit in its 15th year will feature 28 stops that include two new stops, the Chicago Horseshoe Hammond and Chicago Horseshoe Tunica. The Horseshoe Baltimore, however, has been dropped.

There’s also been a shift in the venue for one of the two WSOP stops in Florida. The Seminole Hard Rock that was held in Hollywood in 2017 will be hosted at WSOP’s Seminole Coconut Creek location this year. Bally’s Las Vegas is back this year and is scheduled for March 2019.

This year, the WSOPC tournaments will see more starting chips for players while the big blind ante and new price points have been introduced.

“Everyone loves more starting chips, and we think things like the Big Blind Ante and larger prize pools will be big hits for all players”, stated WSOP Tournament Director, Jack Effel.

The buy-in in the $365 buy-in events has been increased to $400 with starting chips in all $400 events jumping to 15,000 from the previous 10,000 chip count and buy in at the Main Event will be $1,700 instead of the earlier $1,675.

The buy-ins will now feature $250, $400, $600, $1,125, $1,700, $2,200, $3,250 and $5,300 ranges. The new primary price points will be $250, $400 & $600, with the higher buy-ins remaining the same at $1,125, $2,200, $3,250 and $5,300.

Like every year the first tournament of the WSOPC US Circuit will be the Harrah’s Cherokee on August 2. At every stop, two players i.e., winner of the Main Event and overall Casino Champ will find their way into the Global Casino Championship. Other players will earn points to add to their performance in the leaderboard.

In 2017-2018, the WSOPC US Circuit registered a record 133,892 entries with record prize money totaling $66,585,658 awarded amid players. WSOP is yet to announce the schedule for its WSOP International Circuit, although Playground Poker Club in Montreal is reported to be one of the new stops coming up in the schedule.
