Here are this week`s top stories

This past week was taken over by the IPC Oct edition all the way. The series played out from 8-11 Oct at Deltin Royal Poker Room, Goa and once again, the IPC saw huge crowds, although the numbers didn’t match last edition’s record breaking attendance. A highlight of the IPC this time was the slew of fresh winners in all the events. The schedule for the IPC season finale in Dec was also announced, completing the series wonderfully for all players.

On the international front, the ACOP Platinum Series XI ended on Oct 11 and China’s Lante Zhang was champion of the HK$5,500 Main Event for HK $251,900. Next up is the PokerStars Macau, with the 2015 ACOP set to begin at the end of this month, lasting from Oct 30 to Nov 15. Team PokerStars pro Aditya Agarwal will be attending the event and another Indian confirmed for the series is Anant Purohit. Purohit won the India Extreme Giveaway Freeroll, which awards him a seat to the ACOP HK $2M Spadie Event. He posted on Facebook, “Lets Go Macau….And Make People Believe that Indians are AWESOME ….. in poker too...”

The online poker scene was relatively dull, with hardly any scores to report, as the IPC had all the attention. Anant Purohit is our “PokerGuru Star of the Week” for his impressive satellite win this past week.

In other news reports, we have highlights from the WSOPE 8 Berlin, which has Young Gun Arsh Grover in attendance.
