In the PokerGuru feature ‘This Week in Poker’ we bring to you the weekly round up of the biggest online scores by Indian MTT players along with the top stories from both the live and online poker circuit.

Here are this week`s top stories

It was a week of non-stop international live action that kept us so busy that our weekly report comes a day late this time. A number of global tournaments saw some big winners, records created and multiple titles being won. Participating in two of these tournaments were a few of our Indian Challengers, Dhaval Mudgal and Rajat Sharma at APT Cambodia, and Arsh Grover at WSOP Europe. Plus, Indian-origin player Vinny Pahuja came out of the cold to claim a win at the Parx Big Stax XIII Championship for $62,000, after a three-way deal.

At the 2015 APT Asian Poker Series Cambodia, Mudgal and Sharma played many events, but failed to cash in any. Mudgal bubbled the Deep Stack turbo event and both players made Day 2 of the Main Event, however missed cashing in the event, and hit the rails before the money bubble burst the same day.

For Arsh Grover, it was his first international outing to the WSOP Europe Berlin and he cashed in Event 2. He also played the WSOPE Main Event, making it to Day 3, where he made an early exit at 57th place.

Coming up next on the Asian Circuit is the 2015 ACOP series from Oct 30 to Nov 15. From the Indian Team, Team PokerStars Pro Aditya Agarwal and Anup P are currently confirmed for the series, with many other players expected to be joining them. This ACOP will have extra glitz with international celebrity and football superstar Ronaldo scheduled to make a special appearance.

On the domestic front the action will now resume after a little more than a month, when the season ending IPC Dec finale will begin on Nov 29. Players can use this time to catch the various online satellites on Spartan Poker, which have been increased to twice daily on player demand.

In our online railbird report section, the PokerGuru Star of the Week is Mumbai-based ‘hijack_all‘ who won $5,280.82 for 1st place in the PokerStars ‘$8.80+R NL Hold’em [2x-Turbo], $20K GTD’. We also have several other news pieces that include tournament reports from the APT Cambodia, the IPT 7 Malta 2 Main Event, the EPT 12 Malta High Roller & Single Day High Roller, the last ANZPT Melbourne event and the largest ever WSOP Circuit Event. Besides that there is also news of the cancellation of the APT Vietnam and two new top pros joining the Poker Hall of Fame Class of 2015.
