There were only few of our regulars online the past week, probably due to the upcoming live tournament – PokerStars Championship Macau that begins on March 30, at the City of Dreams, Macau. A large Indian contingent has already confirmed their presence at the event.

Indians are venturing further into foreign provinces and the latest win was Rahul Rohatgi claiming the Poker Wars Unlimited Re-Entry at Atlantic City for $4,500. For players already in the west, several brand tours are available. The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Council Bluffs will run from March 30 at the Horseshoe Casino and the same day will also mark the start of the Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) Missouri. Across the Atlantic Ocean, players in Edinburgh are busy at the Grosvenor United Kingdom Poker Tour (GUKPT) Edinburgh which ends on April 2.

Returning to the online felts, players can look forward to a massive weekend, with the 11th Anniversary PokerStars Sunday Millions on April 2, with its sizzling roster of events that have a guaranteed $10 Million up for grabs!

Fantasy sports fans are also in for a treat, with India’s premier site, LeagueGuru launching exclusive offers to celebrate the coming IPL Season X all through April.

The “PokerGuru Star of the Week” is Muskan ‘musku89’ Sethi, who scored the highest amount of $6,389.77 at the PokerStars ‘$215 Sunday Supersonic [6-Max, Hyper-Turbo], $175K GTD’ for a fifth-place finish.

There are several news reports from India, with license and other fees for Goa casino operators hiked by almost 30% and a six-month extension for the March 31 deadline. Thrill Poker and its last two Team pros Dhaval Mudgal and Shravan Chhabria parted ways, even as another company, Sachar Gaming gained the sixth online license from the Nagaland government.

Piyush ‘Piyush16’ Gupta won $1,988.67 for 1st place in the PokerStars ‘$109 NLHE [Turbo], $4K GTD’ and made $1,614.65 for 2nd place in the PokerStars ‘Big $82, $6K GTD’. Gupta also won $1,552.89 for 1st place in the PokerStars ‘Big $33, $5K GTD’

Sriharsha ‘indiandurr’ Doddapaneni won $3,217.83 for 1st place in the BlackChip ‘BIG10 – $15,000 GTD’ and cashed $1,650.00 for 3rd place in the BlackChip ‘PHAT BIG10 – $20,000 GTD’

Karan ‘Karan Radia’ Radia won $3,049.90 for 4th place in the PokerStars ‘$215 Saturday Scuffle [6-Max, Progressive KO], $80K GTD’
