It was a special Sunday for more reasons than one as April 22 marked the first Sunday on the newly launched PokerStars India. The site got off to a trailblazing start with a full slate of high value tournaments. Team PokerStars India pros Aditya ‘Aditya Agarwal’ Agarwal and Muskan Sethi came out all guns blazing and Agarwal even came close to winning the biggest event on the site i.e. Sunday Special – ₹5,000 NLHE, ₹12 Lakhs GTD where he finished runner up for a ₹1.71 Lakhs payday.

As a special launch promotion, PokerStars India even hosted a ₹10 Lakhs added Welcome Freeroll this Sunday where ‘slowroll_baller’ outlasted a huge field of 3,387 entries to pocket the ₹1.29 Lakhs top prize.

The biggest news however was being made at MadOverPoker’s Sunday Blast Series where Vishal ‘sparctus’ Tulsyan shipped not one, not two, not three – but four events in a day, winning over 1.80 Lakhs in total! Tulsyan took down the Dynamite, Bounty Mafia, Hysteria and Sunday Crawler events, which to the best of our memory, is the first time an Indian player has win four online tournaments in one day, more so on one site. By virtue of his trailblazing run, Tulsyan is now leading the monthly leaderboard that has a ₹1 Lakh prize up top. As unbelievable as it is, it just shows that poker is in fact a game is skill…

Over to India’s most trust poker site – PokerBaazi that played host to its signature Baazi Super Sunday events with the big winners emerging in Abhishek ‘Abhishek081190’ Jaiswal, Sajjan ‘sajjan0007’ Barnwal and ‘YouAgain’.

Then there also a mega anniversary edition on PokerStars’ international client – Sunday Million Anniversary Take 2 where ‘Daenarys T’ from the Netherlands took top honors and banked a life changing $1 Million in prize money! Unfortunately Indian players were forced to give this event a miss, as they can no longer play on the international client.

Meanwhile, the Sunday Stacks on 9stacks concluded another successful chapter with ‘Indiapro’ taking home the top prize of ₹38,000
