If the SBC was to promote bankroll management efficacy among upcoming players and honing playing skills, the new promo is for those players, who have just begun or are eager to prove their mettle to become an online pro. This unique Spartan Pro Hunt challenge is exclusively aimed at aspiring players, providing them a chance to learn on the go, with an initial bankroll and mentoring along with an opportunity to make a name for themselves as online pros.

Plus, winners will get the never-before chance to build their own brand online!

‘Samoh’ released the news on his PokerGuru blog and explained the need for this new challenge saying, “From a player perspective, I think that we need to create opportunities for players across stakes to grow. With this in mind I present to you, THE SPARTAN PRO HUNT.

A very unique initiative by Spartan to promote the up and coming players in India, give them an initial bankroll, mentor them and launch them as online pros.”

Proper mentoring and an initial bankroll can be a make or break issue for start-up players. Understanding this, ‘Samoh’ recalls his early days in poker and how he received mentorship stating, “When I started off in Poker back in 2011, I was a complete newbie. Yes, I was interested in learning this game and was very keen on getting good at it. However, it is an expensive game to learn and you need the best people in the industry to mentor you. I was outright lucky to be noticed by Intervention and be mentored by him”

‘Samoh’ further adds, “Throughout my career I never really had to look out for people to help me. I was good friends with the best players in the country and all I had to do was ask. I consider myself extremely lucky to be where I am now and the parts, small or big, my mentors have played is HUGE.”

The challenge has certain conditions and is restricted to a maximum of 100 players. These will get an initial bankroll of ₹5,000 and have to play 10,000 hands of Hold’em or Omaha cash games in 30 days.

There will be a penalty of ₹500 for not completing the mandatory hands or losing the starting bankroll, which will be a refundable deposit.
