Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza III was one of the few popular series running alongside the 2015 WSOP to attract the large influx of poker players that throng Las Vegas during the mega series.

A sizeable Indian contingent was present at the series and while many came back to India soon after their Main Event campaign was over, a few players stayed back to play the $5,000 Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza Main Event that began on July 12 and featured a massive $2 Million guarantee.

The three starting flights saw 547 player registrations, creating a total prize pool of $2,557,225 with the top 63 places getting paid. Prominent Indian names in the field were Rahul Byrraju, Aditya Sushant and Shashank Jain. All three satellited their way into the event with Rahul Byrraju emerging as the chip leader among 253 survivors going into Day 2.

While Shashank Jain and Rahul Byrraju were unable to make it past Day 2, Adda52 Team Spades Pro Aditya Sushant stormed into the final day, though as the second shortest stack in 13th chip position. He finally busted in 12th place with $38,358.
