Team PokerGuru Pro Sangeeth “Samohh” Mohan (cover image) has added yet another title to the Team`s kitty by taking down the APT Greed Tournament which takes the total tally of title wins from the Team Pros to 3 at the APT Goa Series. Samohh outlasted a total of 39 runners to take home a whopping ₹5,26,500 and his well timed aggression earned him the bragging rights to an APT title and made him the first player ever to claim the entire prizepool at an APT GREED Tournament!
Samohh started the tournament on the right note winning a few crucial pots to reach a comfortable chip stack early on and improved to become the chip leader with just 13 players remaining in the tournament. He reached the final table, 3rd in chips behind Armaan Kochhar and Liam Anderson but he was able to reclaim the chip lead by eliminating Liam and never lost it till the end. He used his chip lead to his advantage running over the final table and never really looked in a position where he needed to agree to a split. It was a matter of time before he won it all and the final hand of the tournament was kind of an anti-climax when Samohh holding was able to hold against his opponents with the entire Pro Team cheering for him!
“Intervention along with my fellow Pros railing me I just had to win it and the chip lead did help me. I am now looking forward to Day 2 of the Main Event” commented Samohh shortly after the win. The win has surely infused confidence in the team with after 3 title wins and one runners-up finish are still hungry for more titles. With Team Pro`s Rohit Bhalla, Amit Varma and Samohh still alive in the Main Event and Team Pro`s led by Team Mentor Aditya ‘Intervention’ Agarwal registered to play the ₹20K Freezeout and 15K Six-Max Tournaments it will be interesting to see if the title shower continues for the team.
