It was a particularly brutal Saturday in Macau for Team PokerGuru Pro, as a combination of bad beats and lost coin flips eliminated all of them from all the events they played. Team mentor Aditya ‘Intervention’ Agarwal began by showing his boys how it’s done, shoving with AQ, getting called by AJ, and managing to lose. Sangeeth ‘samohh’ Mohan also busted out of the main event shortly afterwards, losing a 200k pot after getting it all in on a Q97 board with Q9. He was up against a flush draw, and, well, life is brutal.

Amit Varma got knocked out of the 6k freezeout in an even more brutal manner, raising with JJ, hitting a KJ2 rainbow flop (repeat: rainbow), and getting his money in against a gentleman holding Q6c. Just you guess what happened next. Just you guess.

Kunal ‘kcdesi’ Chandra got busted when he shoved with AA on a jack-rag-rag-board, getting called by JT. Yes, that’s right: another jack on the turn.

Amit then went on to recover his airfare in a particularly good cash game session, and the rest of the pros drowned their sorrows in an epic manner not fit to relate before a family audience. Then they went back to their rooms and slept, as the sun crept up warily in the distance, worried, no doubt, about some kind of weird-ass bad beat, like a galaxy of moons waiting to kick its ass. Shit happens.
