PokerGuru announces India’s first 90-days mentorship program open exclusively to its members. Learn from India’s most accomplished Poker players and get a chance to join the PokerGuru Pro Team. Read on to know details of this once in a lifetime opportunity that’s free of cost!

WHY DID WE LAUNCH THIS PROGRAM?

There have been a lot of requests from members to learn multi-table tournaments from PokerGuru pros. There has also been a lot of new talent that we have seen come into the poker scene with several promising new comers showing tremendous talent and promise. We want to increase the strategy discussion on the website and have people visit pokerguru.in as a source of knowledge along with latest news and information. As a result, we have decided to pick 15-20 candidates to be part of this program and learn from our pros. PokerGuru has already shortlisted five people for this program and will pick the rest from the PokerGuru community.

WHAT IS THE POKERGURU MENTORSHIP PROGRAM?

The mentorship program will be headed by Team Mentor – Aditya ‘Intervention’ Agarwal, who will personally co-ordinate personal coaching that will last three months. During these 90 days, Aditya and the PokerGuru Pro Team will review hands with the members throughout the week, and discuss Poker strategy at least once a week on Skype. During these 90 days we will stake the selected group for occasional small tournaments and after the mentorship program ends, players with the most promise will get a chance to join the PokerGuru Pro Team along with a staking deal.

A short biography of Aditya:

A BBA graduate from Drexel University, Philadelphia, he has been a professional poker player for the past seven years and has traveled the International tournament circuit extensively. He plays online under the alias of ‘Intervention’ on most sites and has over USD 3 million in cashes. Aditya has numerous domestic titles to his name too and is currently placed third on the all-time tournament cash list in India.

WHO SHOULD APPLY

An ideal candidate for this program is someone who has absolute passion for the game and solid commitment to the PokerGuru mentorship program, without affiliation or obligation to any outside brand.

The idea of the mentorship program is to groom promising players who are serious about exclusively representing the PokerGuru team in the future, and not looking to exit once the program is over. PokerGuru is ideally looking for candidates who want to make poker their primary source of income. So, all the freshmen college kids out there, this program is not for you if you are not already playing at some pro level.

Also, those not selected for the program need not feel left out, as our pros will be available on this thread, which is open to all for questions and special inputs. All selected members will be encouraged to share important insights and strategy on the forums for the benefit of all PokerGuru members not in the program.
