Three-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Phil Galfond’s (cover image) online poker training venture, has been in the works since 2013. In his blog post titled An Update and a Plan, Galfond had announced that ‘Phase 1’ of the site was set for a 2018 summer launch.

However, since then, the site has run into several obstacles and in another blog post, Laying the Groundwork, Galfond stated that players on the site will not be allowed to use Heads-Up Displays (HUDs) and also wrote about two other features that would be present at the site – auto seating and predetermined buy-ins.

Now, in his latest blog, posted on August 2, titled Decisions, Decisions, Galfond has turned towards the poker fraternity for advice and feedback. The issue in question is the cap to use for multi-tabling, i.e. whether to cap multi-tabling at four tables or six. Taking to Twitter, Galfond posted his query to the poker community.

He wrote, “Engaging with the community and improving based on your feedback always has been at the core of our plans with Run It Once Poker. In fact, the reason for this series of posts is to be transparent with the community and to encourage two-way communication. Today, we will take that a step further and not only ask for your input directly, but also let the community make a major policy decision for us. Going forward, we’re excited to ask for more help in shaping our platform, both pre and (especially) post-launch!”

Preferring four tables, Galfond stated, “Although a low table cap will result in less rake collected in the short-term, I firmly believe that the long-term result will be positive for both the players and Run It Once”.

But it seems like the poker fraternity is not in his favour as approximately 59.5% voted for six tables.

With several more decisions to make, Phil Galfond has a lot to figure out before Run It Once is launch-ready.
