The 2018 Triton Super High Roller Series Montenegro Main Event is done and dusted and taking home the title along with the whopping HK$19,618,400 ($2,499,090) top prize was Mikita Badziakouski (cover image).

Badziakouski bested the 63-player field, finally defeating Frenchman Rui Cao heads-up to claim the lion’s share of the HK$59,270,400 ($7,550,129) prize pool. It has been a good year for Badziakouski so far, as he recently won the AAPT MPC 28 High Roller event for HK$2,324,000 ($297,198) in addition to a few other deep runs. The High Roller regular goes by his online handle “fish2013”, which in a way is ironical, considering his recent wins that have pushed his live poker circuit earnings over $9 Million.

Badziakouski next took out Wai Leong Chan in fourth place after winning a flip with ace-king suited against the latter`s pocket sixes.

At this point Badziakouski held a commanding chip lead versus his two opponents Peter Jetten and Rui Cao, who were both short stacked. Jetten was the first one to make an exit when his lost to Cao’s on the board .

Badziakouski held a 2-1 lead going into the heads-up play and he never gave up that lead, even though Cao tried a few times. Soon things ended and of course in Badziakouski’s favor.
