The final event of the PokerGuru Tour May edition was the ₹50,000 High Roller 6-max event. 33 players showed up to take a shot at the title, culminating in a prize pool of 1,650,000 (100% payouts). This tournament saw most notables from the Indian poker scene, including Bobbe Suri, Abhishek Goindi, Phil Sanders, Prabhat Mukherjea, Amit Varma, Jasven Saigal, Dhaval Mudgal, Anil Gulati and the PokerGuru Team Mentors Aditya ‘Intervention’ Agarwal, Ramandeep Gujral and Rohit Bhalla.
Team Mentor – Aditya ‘intervention’ Agarwal made a deep run but got out on the final table bubble, when he re-shoved into Harsad Bharve’s (cover image) cut-off open. Rishi Naranyanswamy was the 4th place finisher when he lost against Anil Gulati’s in a pre-flop all-in. Rishi took home a consolation ₹150,000 for his efforts.
Tournament regular and serious PGT Season 2 POY contestant Jasven Saigal also fell at the hands of Anil Gulati in a coin flip situation, not hitting a King or Queen with his against Anil’s pocket fours.
The heads-up battle was very short with a decision in the second hand of the duel. Harsad Barve had a 4-to-1 chip lead and limps from the button, Gulati moves all-in from the big blind and Harsad snap-calls with Gulati tables and with a board of Harsad wins the pot eliminating Anil Gulati in second place for ₹450,000. Harsad takes home ₹8,00,000 for his win along with a Tag Heuer Formula 1 watch.
