After the phenomenal response and the unbridled success of the first edition of its mentorship program, PokerGuru is now inviting a second batch of players to apply for this year’s free training program. You can apply for the program here.

The second batch starts from October 20. The program will last 12 weeks in which pre-flop and post-flop strategies, deep stages and final table play for MTT will be covered with the use of a visual replayer. PokerGuru Mentor Aditya Agarwal will be personally assisted by other team pros who will be attending these sessions. Each session will be of roughly 60-90 minutes and will be held once a week mostly on Friday/Saturday nights. As the entry to this program is highly selective, it requires full participation in the sessions, meaning if you miss two sessions in a row you will be booted from the program.

Additionally we like to keep track of the progress of the mentorship students; basically the best way to master the subject matter is to put the theory into practice. That’s why everyone chosen for the program will be required to blog and post on the forum each week.

The mentorship program is mostly looking for people who already play or aspire to play MTTs for a living. All applicants must have at least a bankroll of 2000 USD and should be able to travel to Goa for live events. As the program requires a rather large time commitment, people with full-time jobs/other obligations need not apply for the program. The chosen candidates from the list of applicants will be announced on Oct 19. The last day for applications is October 18.

While filling up the application, please mention your name, age, city, educational background, occupation, screen name on PokerStars and other sites. If you do not have a PokerStars account, open one using this link on PokerGuru. Please also mention your poker experience and any other detail, which might help you get selected. Preference will be given to applicants who have been active on PokerGuru and those who are regular in the Goa poker scene.

Check out this forum thread for the experiences of the first batch – you can also apply here for the program by making a post detailing the above mentioned information.
