€25K Single-Day High Roller

Justin Bonomo likely booked one of the biggest profits at the series as he shipped his second €25K Single-Day High Rollerfor €259,700 after outlasting the 29 entry (21 unique entries + 8 re-entries) field.

Bonomo previously won the other different €25K Single-Day High Roller for €378,000 and marked his fourth six-figure cash of the series. Adding them all, he has netted an incredible €1.2 million in winnings in just one week!

Final Table Recap

After Orpen Kisacikoglu and Timothy Adams took the fifth and fourth places respectively, Bonomo dispatched Spanish poker phenom Adrian Mateos to set up the heads-up battle.

Bonomo’s ace-ten prevailed against Mateos’ king-jack, and he started with the lead against Ramin Hajiyev in the heads-up.

In what went on to be the last hand of the event, after getting short, Hajiyev jammed his 10 big blinds with king-four but Bonomo’s ace-eight of diamonds held and he sealed another single day high roller title at the series for himself.

€25K High Roller

The €25,000 High Roller event crowned its champion in Lebanese player Albert Daher after a three-way ICM chop saw him take home almost €600,000.

“It’s pretty insane,” said Daher who already picked up the €1,100 Hyper-Turbo Freezeout title this week. “I guess I was fortunate enough to win some all-ins and flips when I was short-stacked. Then I started to play pretty aggressive, built up my stack into the chip lead after getting into some post-flop pots with Oleksii [Khoroshenin]; I guess I won most of these pots.”

The event attracted a total of 119 entries (including 28 re-entries) to generate the €2,828,035 with the top 17 places making money.

Final Table Recap

Wouter Beumers came into the final table as the short stack and was the first to leave after he shoved with ace-nine, and Shyngis Satubayev called with king-queen. A queen on the turn and Beumers was railed in eighth place.

Following suit was Yan Shing Tsang in seventh and then the eventual champion Daher gave a brutal beat to short-stacked Julian Thomas as the former’s queen jack managed to beat the latter’s pocket jacks after a queen appeared on the flop.

Minutes later, Joao Vieira’s jacks met Daher’s queen’s and Vieira was busted in fifth place and in the very next hand, Oleksii Khoroshenin jammed with ace-queen only to be called Satubayev’s ace-king. Satubayev went on to flop trip kings and the field got down to three.

Immediately thereafter, a deal was agreed upon which resulted in Daher getting the trophy and the lion’s share.

The last man standing at the event was Bryn Kenney who denied Mustapha Kanit the title and took home well over €150,000 for his exploits.

The USA based Kenney held a commanding chip lead when the event got down to two tables and didn’t diminish till he lifted the trophy.

“I’ll take it. To brick the €100k and the €50k and breakeven is definitely pretty nice. Said Kenney. “I’ve been one of the more vocal people about adding more High Rollers. I think it’s almost standard now to be able to come to a place and play a lot of High Rollers. It’s just what people want to play and I’m happy because otherwise I’d be chilling or playing 2k’s!” he added.

Vladimir Troyanovksiy was the next one out after he jammed with sixes and Kanit called with . A ten landed on the window and Troyanovksiy was done.

Next up, Nick Petrangelo lost to the erstwhile short stack Seidel when the latter’s jacks held against the former’s ace-ten.

However, Seidel was still short and went out third. He open-shoved with jack-ten and Kanit found pocket aces to make the easy call. Seidel could only manage to hit a pair and got eliminated to set up the heads-up between Kenney and Kanit.

Kenney started ahead but Kanit picked up some good spots to close the gap. The last hand saw Kanit jamming with ace-three and Kenney called tabling king-queen. A queen on the flop and Kenney took down the title.
