Brand alliances are certainly considered a win-win situation for both the parties concerned. The company gets extra mileage from in-the-spotlight players sporting their logo, while for players it is proof of their earned success, plus a welcome additional income.

With the boom in Indian poker economy, new brand alliances came to the fore and now as the initial euphoria has begun to settle, it seems to be shuffle-up time once again.

This time, Dhaval Mudgal (cover image) has parted ways with the recently launched India-facing site PokerMet.

PokerMet launched on June 7th this year and had signed Mudgal as their first Team pro even before its official launch. Later Shuchi Chamaria Agarwal, Anil Adiani and Panama based pro Victor Lemos joined the PokerMet team rooster.

Mudgal was earlier a part of Thrill Poker`s pro team and announced his departure from the pro team in march.

PokerGuru spoke to Mudgal who has just reached Macau for the ongoing MPC 27 series and he said, “PokerMet and I have amicably parted ways. Sometimes people have different visions for a project and that was the case here. I’ve always been a very honest person who’s always spoken his mind and felt it would be unfair to mislead the community If I kept on representing something that was different to my vision for it. So we took a call to end the association. I wish the company and its remaining pro’s the best of luck for the future. Time to win MPC as #TeamKhudKaPaisa.”

We even spoke to PokerMet Managing Director Aditya Das for a quote and he said, “It was an absolute pleasure being associated with Dhaval. Wish him all the best for his future endeavors”.
