A month after bringing Scottish pro Ludovic Geilich under its franchise, online poker site partypoker has added yet another big name to its roster of brand ambassadors for Europe. Renowned French player Bruno ‘King’ Fitoussi (cover image) is now officially a partypoker ambassador and joins the likes of BertrandElkY’ Grospellier in representing the site at live tournaments through Europe.

It’s a big scoop for partypoker that has been looking to expand its popularity among live and online players. 59-year old Fitoussi known more popularly by his moniker ‘King’ or ‘The king of Europe’ is the man often associated with taking poker to France, specifically Texas Hold ‘em. He has been nominated four times for the prestigious Poker Hall of Fame.

partypoker announced Fitoussi’s addition to its team on its official Twitter account.

In a poker career spanning over three decades with live tournament earnings to the tune of $3 Million, Fitoussi has provided commentary to countless televised poker tournaments in Europe and has even worked as a consultant for 20 years with the Aviation Club de France, where he was the first to introduce poker.

“I am thrilled to join the partypoker LIVE team – partypoker has always held a special place in my heart, so to be working with them is a great privilege for me,” Fitoussi said. He further added, “I have a vast wealth of industry experience that I am excited to share, and I look forward to getting involved with all aspects of the business.”

His list of achievements includes a first place finish in the $2,175 NLHE Event at the 2001 World Heads-up Championship, where he famously overpowered seasoned pro Amarillo Slim.

This year in the 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP), Fitoussi missed the bracelet closely in Event #53: $1,500 PLO hi/Lo 8 Or Better where he finished runner up for $150,990. His career-best score continues to be the 2007 WSOP where he won $1,278,720 for a second-place finish in the $50,000 World Championship H.O.R.S.E event.

As the partypoker ambassador, Fitoussi has a busy schedule up ahead. “I can’t wait to come back to Nottingham to Dusk Till Dawn for MILLIONS UK, and the Caribbean Poker Party in The Bahamas is a ‘must do’ for any poker player. To end 2018, I will head to Deauville for the WPT Deepstacks in December [3-9 December],” he added.
